Empower Her Wellness (previously Love Yourself Healthy) is a podcast that aims to positively influence listeners when it comes to the topic of disordered eating, body image, self love and acceptance of ones self. We will also be discussing a range of different health issues such as binge eating, emotional eating, overeating and weight loss. Tackling them from a completely different perspective - mind, body, psychology. Throughout the podcasting journey you will also get to know 'real life' stories from people who have had struggles around the above topics and have positively come out the other side. They will share their struggles and what they did to overcome these. I want this platform to be used as a way to become more educated and open minded about the importance of taking care of and nurturing yourself from within. Join us for a beautiful 4 week journey to master your eating and food struggles. This 4 week course will give you the tools necessary to create awareness, make change, shift habits and set yourself up for a better and more empowered you.
When: Starts 26th October
How long: 4 weeks
Where: Every Tuesday at 7pm (AEST) via zoom
How much: Just $80 a week
What do I get: You will get 2 x 45 minute zoom sessions per week. The first 45 minutes will be with Mel going through eating psychology practices, the second 45 minutes will be with Taran running through a yoga and mindfulness flow.

In today's episode I cover a couple of topics that I am super passionate about.
1 - Meal timing - I'm sure many of you think about the types of food you eat, but have you ever thought about the importance of the TIMES at which you eat? I go through the science behind why eating at certain times is important as well as the biological effects that skipping meals has.
2 - Health tips - Each day I am learning more and more about nutrition and in particular the importance of a plant based diet. I go through some of the science behind dairy and why I steer clear of certain foods.
3 - How to eat when recovering from an eating disorder - Recovering from an eating disorder can be a scary road. So I thought I would share some of the foods that I implemented into my life when I recovered from Bulimia and Binge Eating and the reasons behind doing so.
