#8 - How to Create a 3-Month Content Calendar in 1 Hour (Free Template!)
08/04/20 • 25 min
Just like it is when growing a business, consistency is key when it comes to content creation. Especially if you're using your content to feed your opt-ins and email list (which you should!), you will see the most growth by getting your messages out to people regularly.
But once you know that, how do you go about making sure to deliver a new blog, podcast, or other content every week? That's where planning comes in, and my content calendar! Along with the link to this template (get it below), in this episode I share five main steps on consistently creating and publishing content to keep people engaged, including a full primer on using my template:
- Write it down: The first step is always to get those ideas out of your head and into actionable form.
- Finding your ideal customer avatar: Before you start publishing, consider who it is you want to attract with your content.
- Using the 3-month content calendar template: A full rundown on how you can use my template for your content.
- Recycle old content: Once you have a substantial backlog of content, consider recycling some for a new audience who may not have seen it yet. Just because you covered a specific topic a year ago doesn't mean it can't benefit someone new today!
- Create binge-worthy content: There are reasons people binge-watch certain TV shows, and finding that right hook will keep people coming back!

#7 - 8 Steps to Automating Your Client Onboarding
Proper onboarding for new clients is essential! Not only to make sure projects run smoothly from the beginning, but to cement a solid client relationship from the get-go. But it's no secret that this process can take a massive amount of time!
The key, of course, is automating our client onboarding process. By automating basic, required tasks, you will be amazed at how much time you save. I hear from my clients over and over again how much they LOVE my client onboarding process. So much so that many of my clients hire me to create their onboarding process! In this episode, I share my eight steps for onboarding new clients. I encourage you to customize them to your needs, but this is what works for me!
- Offer a consultation: A free phone call sets the foundation of your potential relationship.
- Send a welcome kit: A well-built welcome kit should introduce your new client to you in an easily-digestible fashion.
- Get that e-signature: Use a system like DocuSign that's easy for you and your client to collect required signatures.
- Make payments easy: You need to get paid for your work, so it's vital to make paying you as seamless as possible.
- Follow up: Sometimes, clients fall off the radar (or seem to!), so keep in touch to keep them engaged.
- Kick-off call: Dig deep into your client's business needs, strengths, and weaknesses so you know precisely how you can help them.
- Manage your projects: Proper use of a project management system will keep you on track and ensure everything gets done on time.
- Track your time: Once you're on the clock, make sure you're really on the clock, by accurately tracking your project time.

#9 - 8 Ways to Repurpose One Piece of Content
With how much work you put into your content, wouldn't it be good to get extra mileage out of it? Not only can you do this, but you should! Repurposing content for different mediums and formats is an essential strategy for getting the most return out of the time you put into creating it in the first place.
Once you both understand and embrace the idea of reusing content, the question is, how? In this episode, I share eight ways to repurpose your content, including written blogs, podcasts, videos, newsletters, and more.
- Get Your Content Out Everywhere! If it’s a podcast, make sure that you have it automatically going out to all of the podcasting sites!
- Transcribe it! If it’s a podcast or video, make sure to get a transcription of it for your website SEO!
- Clip the Audio: You can clip your content into mini audio pieces that are perfect for sharing on social media.
- Turn it into a Blog: If your content is not a blog, make it one! Blog posts are one of the best ways to drive traffic to your website.
- Article Submission: If it’s a blog, make sure to submit it to Medium and other article submission sites to get it out to a broader audience.
- Record a Video: It’s super easy to record your podcast with the video on - then you have more content to share! Or record a mini summary of the podcast for your YouTube channel.
- Send a Newsletter: If you aren’t building your email list, add it to the top of your to-do list! And make sure to get a weekly newsletter out to your subscribers.
- Turn it into a Lead Magnet: You have so much great content already, why not turn that content into a great lead magnet to grow that email list!
