BUT WHY BITESIZE - RAGE WITH ANNA MATHUR

In this bitesized episode Clemmie speaks to author and psychotherapist Anna Mathur about rage. And in particular maternal rage. We've all been there - your jaw is tightening, you can feel your blood boiling, you feel trapped and frustrated and suddenly you find yourself yelling CAN EVERYONE JUST PUT THEIR SHOES ON! Only to instantly regret it.

The pair discuss why these ‘loss of control’ moments happen, why they make us feel so awful and more importantly what we can do to make them less likely to happen. It's honest, reassuring and jam-packed with useful advice.

Resources:

Anna has two books:

‘MIND OVER MOTHER: Every mum's guide to worry and anxiety in the first years

‘KNOW YOUR WORTH: How to build your self-esteem, grow in confidence and worry less about what people think’

BUT WHY BITESIZE - HAPPINESS WITH WILL YOUNG

In this bitesized episode, Clemmie explores happiness, or maybe contentment....or should that be joy? Either way, her guest is one of her mum's faves, and two-time Brit award winner Will Young.

Will shot to fame in 2002 after winning the first series of Pop Idol. He has released seven albums, four of which hit Number One in the UK charts, and he has 10 million record sales and two Brit Awards to his name.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Will is a leading voice in mental-health awareness. His highly acclaimed book 'To be a Gay Man' explored mental-health awareness, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community with a focus on gay shame. He has a podcast - ‘The Wellbeing Lab’ - where he interviews experts on different mental health topics each week, AND his second book ‘Be Yourself Only Happier’ was released last year - when this conversation took place!

In this episode Clemmie finds out what makes Will happy and what steps he's taken in his life to ensure he stays that way. Plus they do not talk about dry stone walling.
