04/26/21 • 36 min
In this episode of Small Business Connections, Ann talks Consulting vs. Coaching with Sara Evans of Sara G. Evans Career Consulting. Sara is a career consultant for motivated professionals who need a change for the better. As an experienced leadership development, organizational design, and change management consultant for Fortune 100 companies, federal institutes and academic institutions, Sara is well-versed in switching (and yes, even losing) jobs.
We discuss:
- Consulting vs. Coaching
- Leaving corporate America to start an individual business
- How to target clients

With 25+ years of work experience across ten industries, Sara is no stranger to changing jobs. Sara's successes in self-awareness, resilience and articulating and selling her own personal brand are credits to her career.
Having worn many career hats, Sara's life work is devoted to helping career changers turn 'what if' into reality, and business leaders focus on actions that bring the results they want. Sara holds a BA in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MPS in I/O Psychology from UMBC. She is also a trained Co-Active coach with the Coactive Training Institute (CTI). When she's not helping others gain career clarity, Sara can be found walking her dog Cooper or attending one of her son's hockey games with her husband, Owen.

Daring Greatly by Brene Brown
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey
