In Part 3 of introductions month we continue a candid chat about our personal journeys. As we discuss our life paths so far, we share stories about college and university, jobs, relationships, realising we had ADHD, and becoming mums. We keep it real about the reality of parenting while managing ADHD, from dealing with societal gender expectations to the unique struggles of women with ADHD.
This episode looks at the complexities of ADHD female life... becoming ADHD mum life, discussing everything from the challenge of maintaining household routines to inconsistency with discipline.
Drawing from a study of 500 American parents with ADHD children, we also shed light on how these situations can affect father-child relationships, and share our own struggles around self-blame and shame.
