Using sport to drive equity..........with Jasmine Titmuss
A Dog Called Diversity
11/18/21 • 60 min
This is a super fun and sporty episode with Jasmine Titmuss. She was breaking gender barriers from a young age, playing cricket at school (where she received a scholarship for sport and music) and in the community before many girls were doing so. She went on to play cricket professionally for England, before moving to Hong Kong to be Women’s head coach at the Hong Kong Cricket Club.
She strongly believes in the power of sport to bring people together and drive change in the community. She is currently the Ballgames Manager for Gay Games Hong Kong 2022 and was the first ambassador for PrideSports in 2015, after its launch in the UK in 2006. She has also been part of running baseball teams for Helpers and domestic workers and advocated for access and equality in cricket in Hong Kong.
Jasmine joined Credit Suisse in February 2020, helping them to find talent across APAC. In addition she is the Co-Chair of the HK LGBT+ Open Network and a dedicated advocate for LGBT+ inclusion. She recently won the LGBT+ Inclusion Champion Award 2021 as part of the Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Awards run by Community Business.
On top of all that she has some of the best stories that I know you are going to love

Making a Career in Diversity & Inclusion with Sudesh T
A Dog Called Diversity
05/06/21 • 54 min
Sudesh Thevasenabathy is the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Asia at Manulife based in Hong Kong. He is a true believer and advocate of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and with customers, and has been actively works and speaks in supporting inclusion of all forms be it disability, race, gender, sexuality and multigenerational employees.
In 2019 he won the Hong Kong LGBT+ Ally Award and then was named as part of the 2019 Global Top 50 OUTstanding Ally Executive Role Models and he only started working in a diversity and inclusion role 6 months ago.
While diversity and inclusion roles have been around for a while, particularly in the United States, there hasn’t been a massive number of people doing these roles in Asia. Now in the wake of Black Lives Matter, George Floyd’s death and Covid-19 we have seen a massive shift towards organisations realising they haven’t done enough and scrambling to employ leadership roles in this space.
Sudesh is a great example of how you can take the leadership and other skills you have learnt throughout your career and apply them to something new that has purpose and meaning. If you too are thinking you would like to work in Diversity and Inclusion, you will learn lots from my conversation with Sudesh.

Equality in Coaching......with Christine Khor
A Dog Called Diversity
07/01/21 • 69 min
Christine Khor is a bit of a dynamo. She owns and runs two businesses, Chorus Executive which offers Recruitment, Consulting, Coaching & Branding services and PeeplCoach an on-demand, coaching-led career and leadership development platform all driven around her strong purpose and drive to ensure everyone can have equal access to an experienced coach. She’s also on the Victorian Development Board of The Hunger Project. Whew!
I enjoyed our conversation so much. We talked about the importance of investing in your growth and future, the impact of growing up Chinese Australian, how imposter syndrome doesn’t just affect women, the one thing that women tell themselves that holds us back (its a good one), how there is a place for mentoring and coaching, and how we just need to think bigger.
I was so energised by that conversation and I hope you were too. If you would like to get in contact with Christine and experience her energy and magic, and invest in your development and future, here are the details:

Anne and Her Husband Take Turns in Their Careers
A Dog Called Diversity
02/05/21 • 46 min
Anne Rayner and I had a great chat about all sorts of things related to diversity and inclusion that are pushing stereotypes.
She and her husband take turns in their career. Their latest move to Singapore was for Anne’s career so she could accept the role of CEO for Cambodia, Myanmar and Malaysia as well as the Regional Chief Solutions Officer for Kantar.
They have both taken parental leave after the birth of their two girls and both experienced the challenge of what happens when you step back from your career for a period.
We talked about the Urgent case for Diversity and Inclusion in Asia Pacific, a study Kantar and Campaign Asia conducted together which showed some interesting results and finished up on what Anne want’s to achieve in her job in 2021, and what flexible work could look like.
