A Day at a Time with Hannah Turk - Episode 55: Keeping Them Alive

Episode 55: Keeping Them Alive

A Day at a Time with Hannah Turk

Tonight's dinner is Pesto Chicken and Veggies. I made it last week and *almost* everyone ate it, so I'm using up the ingredients making it again this week. The meal plan for the rest of the week is here, or at adayatatimepodcast.com/meal-plans.

In the last week both kids have been OBSESSED with Melissa and Doug Poke-A-Dot books...and I have been enjoying them too! The stories are almost secondary, but they have so many different ones to choose from that you can even still get one with a topic interesting to any kiddo. Highly recommend for interactive reading, counting (depending on the book), fine motor, and even cause and effect!

Do you want to sit down with me for a chat (with mics on)? I'd love to get to know you better and learn your story...teach me all your tips and tricks, and better yet share them with everyone! Reach out to me via email or Instagram and let me know if you're up for it.

Listener Survey has been revamped, and needs your help to be filled out! Let me know what YOU want to hear!

Don't forget to share the podcast, and leave a review wherever you listen. I'm so excited to grow our community together! Tag @adayatatimepodcast in your shares so I can see where and how you're listening.

You can email me at [email protected], connect with me on Instagram at @adayatatimepodcast, or check out www.adayatatimepodacast.com where you can find these show notes AND meal plans! Share any ideas, feedback, or stories that could make it into the show. I can't wait to hear from you!

Episode 54: Figuring Out Birthday Parties

Tonight's dinner is Enchilada Pasta, and I have a good feeling that everyone will like it...either the enchilada part, or the pasta part! The meal plan for the rest of the week is here, or at adayatatimepodcast.com/meal-plans.

This week we have had two books on repeat, one for each kid. For the little guy, Little Blue Truck is an everyday (multiple times a day) hit. For my Kiddo, Smoot: A Rebellious Shadow is both engaging and hilarious to her.

Episode 56: Figuring Out Summer

The Busy Toddler Summer Bucket List is a great place to start to look for those fun once (or more) a week activities. The types of activities and prep needed to do them varies, making it perfect for all kinds of kids and all kinds of moms!

Tonight's dinner is Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli. It is paleo, Whole30, GF, DF, in the Instant Pot, quick, and easy. I'm hoping that splurging on the 'nice' beef will make it an extra yummy dinner for all of us! The meal plan for the rest of the week is here, or at adayatatimepodcast.com/meal-plans.

The book we've all been enjoying in the last week is Stuck by Oliver Jeffers. It's a cute (and hilarious) story of a little boy who gets his kite stuck up in a tree and tries throwing up all sorts of things to get it down. I wouldn't say there is any sort of message to the book, but it is still such a delightful read. There is also a card deck to play Go Fish with that has all of the illustrations on it! We've really enjoyed the combination of those things in our house lately.
