This episode is an interview with Felicity Azura, a Professional Cuddler, author, & podcast host of the Pro Cuddle Hustle Podcast. She works hard at what she does and educates others as well as entertains with her podcast.

Takeaways to look for in this show as you listen:

  • Create what you want to see in the world, as Felicity did
  • "Self-Care is not a replacement for community care." What do you think about that statement? How can you make your community more inclusive?
  • Cuddle work should be treated as legitimately as other professions
  • Vote in favor of protecting gig workers and sex workers to prevent keeping them in legal limbo and to give them protection and rights

Felicity can be found via her podcast, @procuddlehustlepodcast on Spotify, on Instagram & Facebook under @procuddlehustlepodcst, @procuddlehustle on Twitter, and @cuddlefelicity on tiktok. First up in this episode, we will discuss the importance of setting clear goals and how to go about defining them. I'll link a free download of a sample tracker called "Symptom Tracker" on the @thecouragechecklist Instagram page, click the Linktree --> "Resource Downloads" page, --> Symptom Tracker, or HERE.

For today’s second half, we’re doing a mini-course on how to advocate for yourself. I have a book coming out soon called, "The Chronic Illness Handbook: Strategies for Living Your Best Life,” and we’ll use some information from that today. Now, it's useful in other arenas if you aren’t chronically ill; learning to advocate for yourself can be one of the hardest skills you learn how to do as an adult. We all will face illness in one form or another during our lifetimes. Today, I’m sharing tips for effective communication with healthcare providers, including preparing for appointments and asking questions.

I hope this is a helpful episode. I welcome feedback as always at the IG page or at couragechecklist (at) gmail (dot) com. Please send tips, show ideas, or your checklist to the same places.

Your Voice Matters with Jen Chambers - Stress Busting 10 Minutes of Meditation/10 Minute Chair Yoga

Part of my recovery process as an adult included both yoga and mediation. Although now I'm now certified to teach in both Hatha and Adaptive Yoga, it was intimidating for me at first. Yoga also became a way for me to reconnect with both mind and body and bust through daily stressors. Even as a person with disabilities that can make mobility hard, I love exercising, but sometimes my pain level makes that difficult. Not so the gentle Bo and Adaptive yoga forms, particularly the chair based yoga. I am used to teaching people of all ability levels, and today I'm sharing a short meditation and yoga that you can do from your office, chair, or anywhere that feels comfortable for you. It is generally safe for those who have joint pain as well. Do note: my voice is softer on this part as I tend to do the routine as I teach it!

(Please listen to your own body and talk to your physician about beginning any physical activity; this is merely my personal experience and I am not a doctor).

Teaching Yoga Beyond the Poses: A Practical Workbook for Integrating Themes, Ideas, and Inspiration into Your Class, by Sage Roundtree (for yoga teachers, but great resource for those of you who might want to teach, and beautiful seasonal meditations too).

This Body Scan Meditation is part of the meditation series on The Courage Checklist to help support you in your courageous action. Start the year with this Body Scan Meditation and Box Breath exercise. I like this as a calming practice to use whenever I need to feel grounded. Try a meditation practice like this one a couple of times a week, to start, and see if it helps you be less stressed. This is also a good exercise when you need calm or face a decision.Share your experiences and questions in a voicemail, and you might find yourself featured on an upcoming episode.(This podcast is not meant as medical advice and is not presented as such. Please consult a doctor with any medical questions regrding meditation or breathing exercises.)

In this special bonus episode of Your Voice Matters, I’m sharing a heartfelt, laughter-filled, and deeply real panel conversation originally recorded on The Midlife Butterfly Podcast with the ever-inspiring Kena Siu.

I was joined by five phenomenal women and dear friends:

We got vulnerable about what it means to grow, heal, and reimagine our lives in midlife. We talked about identity, resilience, reinvention—and the power of showing up with radical honesty and compassion.
💬 “We’re not fixing ourselves—we’re remembering who we are.”
That one line sums up the spirit of this entire conversation.
✨ Tune in for soul-deep wisdom, a few belly laughs, and the unmistakable magic that happens when women gather in truth and love.
🎧 Be sure to follow these incredible women and support their work—links to all of their shows are above and in the show notes!
📝 And if this episode lit a fire in your heart, consider submitting your own story to Woven with Light, my upcoming anthology honoring the voices of women who’ve walked through the dark and come out shining.
