Pregnancy Scares & Toxoplasmosis: Western vs Eastern Medicine | Gut Health Optimization | Trusting the Universe
07/16/24 • 22 min
Hi friends! I’m sharing a personal update on what’s going on with my pregnancy and life. I had positive toxoplasmosis lab results which turned out to be a recent infection. I talk about the diagnosis, treatment, and what will happen. It’s been an emotional couple of weeks but has made me reflect deeply on the balance of western vs eastern medicine, and on the importance of letting go, control and trusting the journey (not something I’m very good at!).
It’s also made me go extra hard with all the gut healing tools I have, which I touch on here. This episode is for you regardless of if you’re pregnant or care about toxoplasmosis or parasites - it’s a little chat about life and some lessons I’ve learned along the way, which can enrich your journey regardless of what you’re struggling with.

Health Hacks: Bloating, Blood Sugar, Tips for Travel and Home, plus the US v EU Food Debate
Do you want to enjoy pizza and pasta without impacting your gut and energy?
Does it seem like your food intolerances and gut issues go away when traveling? Is it better food quality and “cleaner” ingredients (like people claim when they go to Europe)? Or is it something else?
This episode covers all those questions around the quality of European versus US food (ingredients, pesticides, processing methods, preservatives, your brain chemistry) and the impact and benefits on digestion, bloating, inflammation and energy.
Most importantly, it covers the habits that make more of an impact than food quality, and empowers you to implement these in your day to day.
Tune in to find out what these habits are and how you can improve your digestion, energy, and overall response to food - whether you’re traveling or at home.
