This is a self-help technique much like mindfulness, in that it enables you to look more objectively at what you are experiencing depending on the day of your cycle. E.G., after practicing MCA, you may decide to not exercise near menstruation, say no more + not feel bad about it, or decide to intentionally do more creative fun things in the middle of your cycle . MCA aids the ability for you to enjoy deep rest + be at your most productive, it can help with diet, exercise+ relaxation, reduce the pressures you may feel, help you to become more confident, + be more accepting of who you are.

Paula Lane: Acting, Story to Success + Moving Towards Balance with Kindness

Originally from Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire, at the age of 19 she was accepted to train at the prestigious Central School of Speech + Drama in London.
In 2008, she then graduated 2008 with a 1st class honours degree in acting before starting her career. We absolutely loved hearing about her journey through the ups + downs of life.

We begin by addressing the fear surrounding birth in our society. There is no wonder so many are scared to birth with all what is in the media, films, books and the horror stories we hear from friends or strangers in the supermarket! Birth has become overmedicalized and feared across the globe. In this episode we are changing the narrative around birth. This episode looks at the conversation we have around birth, breaking down the culture of fear. Birth should be a calm and enjoyable experience for all women but we are being let down by the system. We dive deep into how to prepare yourself for your birth experience.
April Wild is a hypnobirthing practitioner, doula, pre/postnatal yoga teacher and facilitator of monthly circles for pregnant woman. Her knowledge and passion led her to become a birth worker and she is so inspired to offer women education to make informed choices and create better birth outcomes. April has experienced three of the calmest births even being a high risk pregnancy with a rare heart condition in a home and hospital setting. April shares her top tips and tools for birth in this episode.
“Women are designed to birth naturally. We don’t overthink how we grow our babies for 9 months...it just happens. Well birth is no different if we learn the techniques to quieten the mind and soften the body, it just flows. Your body will know what to do when we just allow birth to unfold as it should.”
