No way around it, health care is expensive. Or is it?
During this episode of the show, Cynthia brings on Dr. Jess, a provider of direct primary care– a version of primary care that could potentially save you and your family thousands of dollars over the traditional insurance models. Dr. Jess shares the stories of what she's seen across her career as a physician in various clinic settings and just what makes an integrative and holistic clinic like Secoya so perfectly poised to transform healthcare.

Dr. Jessica Sabrowsky Nurse Practitioner DNP, RN, FNP-BC

She grew up in rural Minnesota. She has 4 children and a husband. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree from the College of St. Benedict. Following graduation she worked as a bedside nurse in Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, adult Intensive Care and Cardiac Care Units. Through these experiences, she learned she was passionate about providing high quality care, but realized she was only able to help individuals and families place a band aide on the acute problems. Her goal at Secoya Health is to offer empowered, non-judgmental healthcare. She loves to collaborate with patients on their path to wellness.

Secoya Health

Secoya Health is an integrative family wellness clinic utilizing applied kinesiology, nutrition, and a brain-based approach. We empower participants to reach optimal health by ditching their diagnosis and healing the root cause of symptoms.

Dr. Brenna graduated from Life West Chiropractic College near San Francisco in 2017 and has been learning and growing ever since. She recently joined AHI Integrative Health and Wellness in May of this year, growing their Integrative Health Clinic.

Conversation with Dr. Hilary Patzer, the Official Sports Acupuncturist for the Minnesota Vikings, about the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine within sports and coaching others to drive for success.
Topics of Discussion:
-Ties between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Sports Medicine
-Modalities within Traditional Chinese Medicine
-Breaking boundaries of "specialist" society by driving for success
Dr. Hilary Patzer is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and Certified Health Coach living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hilary is driven by empowerment through growth, health, authenticity, and movement. Along with coaching, she currently serves as the Official Sports Acupuncturist for the Minnesota Vikings and treats professional, elite, college, and high school athletes from various sports.
Hilary had a very successful college athletic career and raced with the U.S. cross-country Ski Team for 3 years. She continues to compete in ski races, marathons, and triathlons. She competed in the Ironman World Championship and multiple Boston Marathons. Her competitive experience provides her with a unique understanding of what pushing the body to its limit means and how acupuncture and coaching can assist.
As a competitive skier, Hilary over-trained and acupuncture and coaching were the two things that brought her back to a whole, healthy person and athlete. She pushed too hard, too often, for too long, and her body paid a price. The hardest thing to do as a peak performer is to take a step back, breathe, relax, and be patient. Mentally she was watching her dreams, goals, and passions evaporate. She knew there was something profound happening, she just needed to pause, be intentional, and receptive. Little did she know that this experience was setting the stage for her exceptional professional career. She knows what it takes to find and live in alignment with her authentic journey, and she can help others do the same!

Dr. Michelle Wall and her husband, Ryan, have two daughters, Madelyn and Ellie, ages 3 and 1. Michelle is a pelvic floor physical therapist with a special focus on the pregnant and postpartum population. Just because she is a pelvic floor physical therapist doesn't mean she just treats the pelvic floor. She takes a holistic approach with her patients to determine the underlying causes for symptoms and pain, which often lie outside the pelvis. Michelle owns Moms in Motion PT, a mobile physical therapy practice where she treats all her clients in the comfort of their own homes. She is an athlete and became passionate about helping other moms after rehabbing her body after the birth of her first daughter and navigating the challenges of the medical system firsthand. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time outside with her family, going on walks, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
