When people begin to homeschool in a less-traditional way - like unschooling - they often worry if they are doing enough, providing enough, educating enough.

Sure, it would be a lot easier to follow a curriculum or just do what the teacher/expert told you to do. But now you’re aspiring for more than that kind of mindless following. While you recognize that the one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for you or your child, that does put a significant amount of responsibility on your shoulders. And that often leads to feeling pressure.

Stepping off the predesigned conventional path can feels loose and lacking in purpose. Add in a good deal of fear that often accompanies parents new to unschooling, and it can feel pretty overwhelming.
Listen to the podcast to help you reframe some ideas, overcome some fears, and find the reassurance you need to be successful.

As we approach the holidays, unschooling families often have a lot more "family input" than usual. And family members may not be crazy about this educational choice you've made.​
