UnF*ck Your Brain: Feminist Self-Help for Everyone

People socialized as women are particularly susceptible to suffering from the burnout our entire country seems to be dealing with. That’s because they’re taught from an extremely young age that they have to take care of everyone else before they take care of themselves.

This week I’m joined by two of my Advanced Certification in Feminist Coaching students, Ali Ryan and Marissa McKool, as we look closely at how we define burnout and uncover the roles patriarchy and productivity play in it.

Tune in to learn how you can begin to heal your burnout by figuring out what your unconscious commitments are and by identifying thought patterns about your to-do list at home, and how changing your thoughts around rest (while it may feel terrible at first) can help you prevent future burnout.

241. Four Questions for A Yearly Review: Birthdays, Anniversaries, Remembrances

Annual mile markers, like birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays prompt us to reflect on the past year. The act of reflection helps us to cultivate appreciation and enjoyment from our past experiences, but doing it in thoughtful ways is actually a really effective way we can work to create our future intentionally.

I recently celebrated my 41st birthday, a milestone in my business, and my anniversary with my partner, and took time to do my own little ritual of reflection by answering just four simple questions. Listen to this week’s podcast episode to learn what the four questions are and how the answers can help you create a future so good, you can’t even imagine it right now.
