Welcome back to the Who Are You to Lead Anyway Podcast for mastering skills to navigate Leadership & Life. Episode 18. Today, I am thrilled to introduce my guest, Lisa Mitchell.

As a Talent Management Thought Partner and Results Coach, Lisa Mitchell helps Talent Management Leaders embed talent programs that drive results and elevate organizational culture. She supports them through transformational coaching, consulting and training for them AND the companies they serve.

Lisa’s ultimate mission is to transform the working lives of 10 million North American professionals by unlocking the potential of Talent Management Leaders!

To achieve this mission, she has created free resources in the form of her podcast “Talent Management Truths” and her monthly interactive Talent Talks.

Lisa’s signature offering is The Talent Trust, a 6-month peer community and mentoring program exclusively for Talent Leaders.

She brings over 20 years’ experience as a Corporate Leader and Executive to the table, and is known for her strategic yet highly practical approach. She honed her skills in progressively senior HR and Organizational Development roles in large Canadian and Global companies. Industry experience covers contact centres, outsourcing, finance, retail, and senior’s housing (a blend of healthcare and hospitality).

Lisa believes that the employee experience drives the customer experience – and that a strong employee experience is cultivated by smart, well-supported Talent Leaders who are committed to their own growth and development.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys life at home with her teenaged son, husband and rescue dogs, spending most of her spare time going for walks, reading, writing and traveling.
In this episode join us to learn and hear about:

  • Her fascinating journey, challenges and bumps along the way and how she navigated them as her career progressed
  • What she wished she’d known before becoming a leader
  • Talent Management advice (and questions) to enable new leaders to proactively explore performance and potential.
  • The TED Dynamic (the drama triangle) and how choice is at the heart of change for every leader.

Lisa shares so many gem's in this episode, I offer it as an insiders view of Leadership Development and ho

On today’s episode of the Who Are You to Lead Anyway podcast, I talk about decision making, a topic that affects everyone.
While I mention two KEY skills a leader needs to be successful in their venture in the C-Suite, the focus is the struggle for leaders weighing pros and cons of their decision to choose the best path forward.
I break things down into three parts:

1️⃣ Reasons Decision Making can be Challenging

2️⃣ Practical Tips on How to Make Decisions

3️⃣ When to seek help with decisions

I believe that every decision, no matter how big or small, can be a learning opportunity and I view this as a comprehensive guide for making decisions.

And with the right tools and mindset, we can make better decisions that lead to greater success in our personal and professional lives.

So if you're interested in mastering the skill of decision making, I invite you to tune in to this episode!

Until next week keep choosing wisely!

Cynthia
