Creating a Life You Love with Matthew Allyn - Episode 21
The Wholly Well Podcast
01/20/22 • 61 min
Note: Today’s episode does have some language in it! Wanted you to be aware in case you’re listening around kids.
Today’s guest will wake you up, so get ready friends! Matthew Allyn is a vibrant human being (seriously), a pro risk-taker, entrepreneur, fitness fanatic and general life enthusiast. He’s also a coach who helps various people across all paths of life step into monetizing their passion.
After graduating with a civil engineering degree and pursuing the corporate life for 3 years, he hit his quarter-life crisis which led him to riding his bike across the United States in 2016. At the end of that trip, he truly realized that life was journey not a destination. He vowed to pursue daily happiness and no longer work for someone else’s dream or someone else’s idea of “success.” In 2018, he quit civil engineering in NYC and moved to Denver, CO to finally pursue his passion as a Personal Trainer. Since then he has founded the Personal Trainer Business Accelerator, a 90-day mentorship to help personal trainers grow to earning 10k months and is now helping the dispassionate employee quit their corporate job to pursue their passion full time.
In our episode today, we’re talking about the courage to make a change, how the pursuit of happiness impacts everything, where to start if you’re ready to create a life you truly love, and so much more. I can’t wait to hear what inspires you as you listen!

All Things Entrepreneurship, Healthy Rhythms, and Motherhood with Kelsie Zarko - Episode 16
The Wholly Well Podcast
11/04/21 • 52 min
Today we are continuing our Entrepreneurship series here on the podcast, and featuring one of my favorite humans! Kelsie Zarko is a dear friend. I like to say that Kelsie brings peace and clarity wherever she goes, and that’s particularly because of her natural ability to develop simple routines and healthy rhythms. I think you’ll love how practical she is as well.
Kelsie was a second grade teacher who started an online business five years ago, which quickly grew to six-figure sales each year. She is a homeschool mom of 2 who lives with her husband, Matt, in Dallas, TX. She ALSO is a Partner at a Content Marketing Agency called Austin Savage & Co., where she primarily focuses on helping entrepreneurs and businesses thrive on social media. (Seriously, she does it all!)
I really appreciate this quote from her on her website: “I believe there’s magic in showing up for your life because I saw what happened when I showed up for mine.” Yes!
Today, we talk about why you don’t have to be an expert to make healthy decisions for your life, how community and entrepreneurship are so connected, practical ways to develop healthy rhythms in your life, why you need to be flexible with your systems, the importance of letting things go to find balance, how she manages life as a mom and an entrepreneur, and so much more. I loved this conversation and I know you will too!

The Courage to Choose Differently (with Cameo Pierce) - Episode 4
The Wholly Well Podcast
05/20/21 • 49 min
How do you feel about your health journey right now?
Overwhelmed?
Defeated?
Inconsistent?
A hot mess? 😅
You're not alone! Those are common themes I hear so many clients repeating. That's why I knew we had to record THIS podcast episode.
Today’s guest is someone I admire so much: my friend Cameo Pierce. I call her the female James Clear, but she truly shines in mindset, systems, and habits. Cameo and I connected on social media and have since been able to grab coffee in person, too. I always look forward to her message on holistic health and mindset and knew she needed to be a guest here on the Wholly Well Podcast!
Cameo’s story is many of our stories. She found herself the product of a messy life: steeped in poor habits, poor relationships, and a poor mindset. Several years ago, she decided she wanted to choose differently. You’ll hear more of her story in our chat about how she made the choice to change.
In this episode, we talk about the courage to choose differently, what to do when you feel defeated in your health journey, and if balance really exists in life. I know you’re going to connect with Cameo’s practical yet powerful tips surrounding goal setting, social media, and mindset habits!

Catching Up with Cait Crowell from What Cait Ate
The Wholly Well Podcast
01/28/21 • 66 min
Cait Crowell lives outside of Denver, CO with her husband Stuart and her adorable french bulldog Denali. Many of ya’ll know her from instagram where you can find her @whatcaitate. I’ve come to know Cait both in person and on instagram, like many of you, I quickly connected with her message on holistic health and transparency, I also connected deeply with her consistent message of honesty, vulnerability and burnout in nutritional therapy and a return to a more intentional and minimal way of life. Cait has always made time for me and my endless questions on/about nutritional therapy, running a practice, social media strategy and more. On this episode I hope to step outside of the box of what you might expect two nutritional therapists would converse about. I’m passionate about people’s story and how our real lives mesh and flow into our work. Cait and I touch on topics including how she has flowed more into mindset work alongside nutritional therapy and the integral role of mindset shifts, shifting her business and brand, emphasizing foundational health practices, diet culture, taking a break from instagram and the lessons that taught her, achieving balance in her day-to-day and her favorite local eatery in/around Denver.
At the end: I’m excited to announce a project I’ve been working on for a little over two months now. I’m launching my first ever step-by-step, play-by-play E-book, titled “reclaiming your mood, sleep + sanity.” This is all the dirty details about my battle with adrenal fatigue, insomnia and crippling anxiety, the strategies and helpful tips I’ve learned along the way, all condensed and delivered to your inbox. I’m passionate about sharing my story in hopes it can help just one person find answers in one place, and save them hours of research. I look forward to putting this bit of respite out into the world. If you’d like to be added to the pre-order list where I’ll be sending you an added freebie, email me at: [email protected] and I look forward to connecting with you!

How Gerson Therapy Works to Heal Patients with Dr. Patrick Vickers - Episode 47
The Wholly Well Podcast
02/09/23 • 101 min
Before we get started, I want to remind you that I invite a lot of different viewpoints on my show, and while that doesn’t always mean I agree with everything said, I find dialogue from multiple perspectives helpful. As always, I invite you to think critically as you listen.
Getting the news from a medical doctor that you have a terminal illness such as cancer can feel like a death sentence. And the traditional treatments for these diseases aren’t much better. Many of them put poison in your body and destroy it, so even if you beat the disease, your body is still broken.
If you live in the USA, traditional medicine is stuck on a singular treatment plan. Your doctor won’t tell you about other options for repairing your body and overcoming disease. If you want to explore other means of treatment, you have to go outside the USA or do all the research for yourself.
My guest today, Dr. Patrick Vickers, is championing one such alternative based on the work of Dr. Max Gerson. Patrick has established a clinic in Mexico to offer up these alternatives to terminal cancer patients, those struggling with diabetes, and many more diseases. He’s sharing with us how Gerson Therapy works to heal patients, the methodology, and ways we can implement these treatments as preventative measures in our lives.

Why Health Is More Than Nutrition and Exercise with Mollie Ferguson - Episode 44
The Wholly Well Podcast
12/15/22 • 59 min
When it comes to our genetics, it can sometimes feel like we got the short end of the stick or are stuck with a dysfunctional body. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. While there are some genetics you will always have to manage, when you know how to support your body, you can still have a whole and healthy life!
I am SO excited for this episode because it covers so many things – health as more than nutrition and exercise, how to eat for wellness, and changing genetic expression. To help me discuss this all is a new friend, Mollie Ferguson.
Mollie is an author, Registered Dietitian, founder and CEO of Seva Functional Wellness, and a precision medicine health consultant specializing in helping people with chronic diseases live life to their fullest potential. Mollie has over seven years of education and spent excessive time and money completing various functional medicine protocols to learn the most efficient way to heal from chronic fatigue.
I loved chatting with Mollie, so listen in!

Building Muscle, Losing Fat, & Realistic Health Goals with Jordan Lips - Episode 26
The Wholly Well Podcast
03/31/22 • 68 min
Welcome back to the Wholly Well Podcast! I’m SO glad you’re tuning in for today’s episode!
My guest this week is Jordan Lips, a health coach and personal trainer. This episode is a whole lot of fun, as we are chatting about some things like specific weight-lifting and realistic health goals that we haven’t talked about on this podcast before!
Jason got started in this industry after graduating college when he pushed his LSATs back and started training at a local gym. He found out right away it was made for him, and he got certified as a personal trainer shortly thereafter. After growing a thriving in-person business, he transitioned to more virtual work so he could reach even more clients seeking growth and life change. He is an inspirational coach that you’re going to love!
In today’s episode, we talk about being empowered to make choices that benefit your individual needs and not just subscribing to whatever culture is telling us is the next big health trend. We also dive into specific health goals, like what to do if you want to gain muscle, lose fat, how hormones and weight loss are intertwined, and much more.
Grab a cup of coffee (with collagen and cream, of course) and listen in. It’s a light-hearted easy listen and I think you’ll leave inspired and empowered!
