With over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health, she supports women on their motherhood journey at the intersection of modern motherhood culture and a woman’s matrescence, her transition from woman to mother. 5. Trusting Intuition and Embracing Evolution: 5 Lessons From 2 Years of Breastfeeding
What do you do when your primal instincts clash with the narratives you've woven around motherhood?
In my very first solo episode, join me as I delve into the depths of my own weaning journey. I’m sharing personal insights and experiences through 5 lessons I’ve learned from 2 years of breastfeeding.
In this episode, I dive deeper into:
- the importance of listening to intuition, challenging fixed expectations, and embracing the ever-evolving nature of the mother-baby dyad (and of motherhood itself)
- the primal instincts we often overlook and the significance of self-nourishment
- the power of confidence and self-trust in decision-making as an antidote to shame
- the transformative nature of breastfeeding as a right-brained, intuitive process
And you'll hear me go off on a serious tangent about what I really dislike about the online birth world right now and my vision for a better approach to birth prep that shifts from mind to body, or from head to heart.
Join me on this enlightening journey as we challenge societal constructs, embrace our instincts, and honour the profound and complex experience of motherhood.
