Family Law and Entrepreneurial Divorce With Donna Hart

07/24/20 • 37 min

The Smart Connector

Divorce rates amongst entrepreneurs are statistically extremely high compared to other groups. (as much as 50% according to some surveys.) This interview between Jane Bayler and Donna Hart, a Family Lawyer & Director/Shareholder at The Family Law Co, looks at the reasons why, as well as what to do in the event of an entrepreneurial marital breakdown.

Donna specialises in divorce and the financial matters resulting from marriage and civil partnership breakdowns, especially where there are significant assets, pensions and other complex matters such as businesses or Trusts. She also prepares pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements, along with separation agreements.

There is a need for sensitivity and respect for the family in all circumstances and this is at the heart of Donna’s approach. As a divorced entrepreneur herself, Jane is particularly keen for others in similar situations to emerge with both their dignity and a fair share of assets, so they can maintain cordial relations and inter-generational family bonds, wherever possible. Focussing on Your Purpose And Reason Why With Amy Rowlinson

ITunes #1 Podcast Host of 'Focus on Why', Mastermind Host, Speaker and Property Investor Amy Rowlinson dedicates her time and efforts to inspiring and empowering people from all walks of life to discover and realise the vision they always dreamed of.

In this powerful interview, Jane and Amy discuss how, without a compelling WHY, entrepreneurs lack clarity or the ability to make informed choices and wise decisions. When your vision and purpose is clearly defined and aligned, on the other hand, you will understand how you are an important component within the bigger picture and will work with passion and commitment to achieve it.

Amy often asks: ‘Have you defined your business as well as personal WHY? Do you recruit, lead and manage the right employees in the right roles who are aligned with, and subscribed to, your company’s purpose or WHY?

She also says: ‘Your Purpose or Why is the foundation of everything. By focusing on this and taking responsibility for everything you do in life, you are empowered to design anything you desire.

Defining your purpose and then standing by your purpose will ensure that you meet your goals and stay on mission. As Amy states: every individual and business should focus on WHY. (Connection Central)
