The Reach Your Peak Experience (A Sports Nutrition Podcast)

Female athletes not only have to contend with their competition and the complexities of sports nutrition strategy and fuelling principles...

They also have to take into consideration their menstrual cycle health and the hormone part of the equation when it comes to assessing their progress and better understanding their body when training and dieting with intent.

In my time as a Sports Dietitian, I have found out that unfortunately too little time has been provided by health professionals to helo their female clients understand the complexities of menstruation when it comes to considerations relating to exercise performance and dieting contexts.

That is why I wanted to reveal the potential considerations and outcomes you may experience with your nutrition across the menstrual cycle.

The aim is for you to be able to better intercept your progress, results, and understand how your body operates beyond just “movement and eating basics”.

In this episode, I share:

  • The menstrual cycle 101
  • Why is menstrual health pivotal for female athletes?
  • Exploring the potential nutrition considerations across the mentrual cycle (what changes occur and how do they impact you?)
