Ever wonder how small habits can lead to big transformations? Join me, Jenna Zint, and my 11-year-old daughter, Audrey, as we dive into the ups and downs of life with type 1 diabetes.
But this episode isn’t just for those dealing with diabetes.
It’s for anyone facing challenges in life. Instead of getting stuck in shame or hopelessness, we encourage you to get curious.
Asking yourself:
What habit tweaks could bring practical solutions to your own struggles?
We’ll show you how small changes can create momentum and help you build a life that feels more manageable and hopeful.
Diagnosed at six, Audrey humorously shares how she juggles school, family, and faith while managing diabetes with an insulin pump and blood sugar monitor. We talk about the habits that make life smoother—like snack bins and fanny packs—and the behind-the-scenes challenges of school, where simple hand signals and supportive teachers make a world of difference.
And for some laughs at the end- Audrey pulls back the curtain on our Instagram reel antics, where habit-building meets hilarious moments (yes, even expired lettuce has its role!).
Whether you’re a parent, a kid, or just someone looking for creative ways to tackle life’s curveballs, this episode brings a mix of real talk and a healthy dose of humor to keep you motivated.

👉 You say you trust God as your provider... but are you living like an employee or a daughter?
For years, I operated under an employee mindset—believing provision was a one-for-one exchange. Work hard, hustle, and God will give opportunities.
But deep down? My faith was rooted more in my work ethic than in God’s identity.
And that left me feeling like:
⚡ It’s never enough.
⚡ I can’t afford to miss an opportunity.
⚡ I’m always behind.
But here’s the truth: A Father provides because you are His. He doesn’t dock your pay when you mess up. He’s generous, not transactional.
This episode dives into:
- Recognizing if you’re operating from an employee mindset or a daughter mindset
- Why financial instability can actually deepen intimacy with God
- The habit of dethroning hustle—how I went from fear to faith in provision
- Real-life testimonies of God’s unexpected provision (because He’s that good!)
🎧 Listen in & take inventory: Is your trust in His provision—or your own hustle?

Episode 21: Letter Habit
The Habit Lab
02/26/24 • 24 min
It feels like to basic to call this a letter habit. Jenna unpacks how this habit has become about sowing seeds of love; a way to express "with-ness" when friends when she can't physically be with them.
It could feel easy to brush past the impact of this habit, but remember a large part of our Christian faith is built on a series of letters to believers. Don't underestimate the ripple effect of taking time to write your prayers or sow words of identity.
We don't want to ever be too busy to show up "as love" for those around and this is a simple act that can change your focus from hyper aware of your own world to be more others oriented.
Categories of letters to send:
- prayers for those going through hard seasons
- words of identity for those you notice "running their race well"
- gratitude for those who've impacted you or those in your sphere

In this episode Jenna talks about how asking the wrong question can get you skewed results with your habits.
She talks about how asking "Do I want to?" lends itself to a biased answers.
Instead it's more helpful when your motivation is low to ask:
- What's a my goal?
- What would be helpful for me to get there?
- What edits/variations could I give me habit to better fit today?
It's not all or nothing when it comes to consistency, but if we keep asking the same question, we will keep getting the same answer. Change your question & you will change your answer.

More more more! Jenna gives some real examples on how she uses this habit to generate more purpose when the cost of "showing up" is high.
She elaborates how humility has played a major piece in this for her.
There's a little Stephen Covey & Bob Goff wisdom sprinkled in there too!

Episode 27: Joy Habits - purposefully stirring it up
The Habit Lab
04/25/24 • 22 min
We most often wait for it to happen to us or organically arise. If we know all the power joy holds- why wouldn't we purposefully have it as a tool we use?
Jenna discusses two categories of joy that she has built habits in to stir up joy.
- playfulness: humor, dance parties, physical play, silly accents
- rest: sabbath, break from chores, outside moments, laying in the sun
