The Great American Senior Show sits down in studio with Paul Foster, an advocate for Human Rights for those with autism.
Paul has been fighting for the cause for many years after a divorce separated him from his now 25 year-old son Cayman. His son, who is autistic, was placed under the guardianship of his ex-wife for what was expected to be a joint custody and visitation. What happened in reality is son Cayman has repeatedly stated his desires to see and visit his father Paul.
A seemingly confused court system for guardianship in Martin County Florida has failed to respond to either the son's pleas or the father's legal actions keeping the autistic challenged Cayman in a custody limbo for many years.
Over those many years, father and son have only been able to see one another for one hour. Not one hour per week. Not one hour per month. One hour in total over the many years the guardianship issue has been shuffled between as many as five judges.
The case is now pending before a District Court of Appeal.
This is Paul's story.

Bridge Failure! Did a Construction Error Cause Tension Rods in a Florida Bridge to Fail?
Text your grey haired host for a shout out on an upcoming show!
The Roosevelt Bridge in the community of Stuart, Florida is under acoustic scrutiny to determine if any flaws develop that could bring the bridge spanning the Saint Lucie River crashing down.
The Great American Senior Show has learned that the Florida Department of Transportation has "ears" inside the Roosevelt Bridge to monitor for any telltale warning signs that either concrete or encased steel tension rods may be moving or failing. The acoustic monitoring was the end result of several of the tension rods, steel rods keeping the Roosevelt Bridge held together, failing or coming close to failing which could have brought the heavily traveled span crashing down.
The Roosevelt Bridge was shut down the Florida Department of Transportation for emergency repairs that included replacing the faulty tension steel and waterproofing both the exterior of the bridge decking as well as the interior of the bridge.
Inspection of the Roosevelt Bridge, according to documents obtained by the Great American Senior Show, indicated there was widespread areas of concern throughout the entire bridge.
You'll find answers and find that new questions are raised in this report.
Did initial construction that resulted in the Roosevelt Bridge built from opposing sides of the Saint Lucie River and resulting in the bridge not lining up at the final midpoint contribute to the tension rod failures?
