So many of us ask the question, "What do I do?" when the better question is, "What do I think about this?" or, "What do I feel?" In this episode, first we get the sequence down for thinking and feeling before taking action, and then we question the assumption that we don't know what to do. We consider that we have the answer, and that our situation may be happening the way it is supposed to. We end with an answer for most any problem or change that we want to achieve as moms with families in crisis.

Having a plan is a go-to mental strategy for moms with families in any type of crisis. We all know that we cannot access our best thinking in moments when emotions are running the show so making a plan ahead of time when we are able to tap into our calm and clear brain is the strategy here. We talk about making proactive family safety plans, emotional safety plans, and plans for creating joy or any desired emotion. Making a plan helps prepare us mentally, emotionally, and physically for the stuff we cannot control, which in our world is the best we can do.
