Every mom wants to be a good mom but how many times a day do we question this?! We have been conditioned to believe that there are rules for being a good mom but I say your definition is the only one that matters. As a mom with four kids with neurodiversity and a background in education, I believe every child has gifts and talents of genius. I also see life's unexpected trials as chances for us to grow in our strength, love, and connection as a family. Escape from your "bad mom" soundtrack each week to listen in for inspiration on all the mom things, whether neurodiversity is in your family or not. Get the go ahead to have way more fun without guilt, hear new perspectives on old problems, and finally feel like you know what you're doing as a mom.

Facing Our Pain Points
The Good Mom Podcast
09/16/21 • 14 min
There are reasons we avoid feeling our own pain as moms. We are good at this, but what we think makes us strong is actually keeping us dissatisfied. In this episode you'll hear the top 3 pain points (guilt, shame, and responsibility) that manifests most often in moms I coach, and how to process them. You'll also get a new way to think about emotional pain in general, so that it is something that you can leverage for personal growth instead of seeing as a bad thing in your life. XO

Emotional Capacity Cycle - A New Concept
The Good Mom Podcast
05/27/21 • 16 min
Who is ready for a new narrative about moms being at capacity? Me too. In this episode I share how to rethink the idea that we are at capacity and stop feeding that monster so we can influence our families to change their concept of emotional capacity too, and we can share the load in a way that's completely new, different, and in my experience, way better.

A Story of Healing: Pregnancy & Infant Loss
The Good Mom Podcast
10/14/21 • 16 min
The month of October is Pregnancy Loss and Infant Loss Awareness Month and October 15, 2021 is Pregnancy Loss and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. While I did not experience a miscarriage, I know so many, many moms who have. As for infant loss, I did have that painful experience. It was not until today however, when I was asked to share my story in a room of moms nearly 30 years after the day when our firstborn baby girl was born and died, did I experience the next stage of healing from this loss. This showed me how important telling our stories with people who have earned the right to hear them - because they can safely hold judgement-free space for us - how important that is for our healing. Collectively, when we gather together in safe spaces and share our stories fully, we can begin to break down stigma. We can take shame out of the stories. This is one topic, one experience, and one story that I hope does that for just one mom who may need to hear it today. XO

I don't have the research cited for the benefits of this but I have personal experience and upcoming fun events I share about too. ENJOY, literally.

You Can Choose in 2021
The Good Mom Podcast
01/07/21 • 18 min
As moms with families in crisis, resolutions are pretty much the last thing on our minds. We don't have to be left out of choosing with intention though. A coaching tool I learned and teach to my clients is the keep, start, and stop method. Three things you get to choose. What do you want to keep doing in your life that is nurturing to you, moms? What is one new thing that you want to try? What's something you are doing that is not useful or helpful and you want to stop doing? Putting our brain to the task of choosing just one thing to keep doing, one new thing to start doing, and one little thing to stop doing gives us a better chance of choosing meaninful actions for our life. The most important part of all - trusting ourselves that we know what we want and giving ourselves permission to choose.

The Last 5 Real Mom Truths
The Good Mom Podcast
04/15/21 • 19 min
These are the last five of fifteen of my unedited, partial rants, on the 3-part series of what I'm affectionately calling real mom truths. I touch on unsolicited advice, the fact that one person can influence a relationship, behaviors from kids and our responses to it, and two hot topics, sex and money. Just your mom-next-door's take on what worked for us as a family doing real life. Enjoy this episode and please rate and review!

Our Relationship with Our Moms
The Good Mom Podcast
07/08/21 • 15 min
There's generational imprinting happening that comes from our moms to us, and is carried from us to our kids, that has been going on since the beginning of time. In this episode I offer a few ways to think about this phenomena, as it relates to us and our identity and also in the way we want to apply it to our relationships with both our own moms and our kids.
