The Audacious Living Podcast

“I'm always telling people that when you suppress stuff down and you think that everything's cool, it's not. Think of it like a soda. You shake it up, it's gonna have to come out. It's gonna come out some other way. It's not gonna come in the way you suppressed. It's gonna come out different facets.”

Every single person will naturally go through a wide range emotions as part of the human experience. Anger, sadness, joy, and shame are all common feelings that play an important role in daily life. What many people oftentimes do in response to the negative emotions, is ignore or suppress them almost as if they don’t exist. Not only does suppressing your emotions, whether it’s anger, sadness, grief or frustration, can lead to physical stress on your body but they can influence how we think, act or view the world.

For five seasons, this dynamic duo co-produced and co-hosted the popular NBA podcast, “The Breakdown with Dave & Audley”. It was a fun, high energy call-in basketball talk show featured over 250 entertaining interviews from current/past NBA stars, coaches and celebrity hoops fans and finished its run with over one million downloads.

“Everybody goes through things or they want to be happy but you have to do your work. That's the part a lot of people don’t often see, that little piece in the middle is always missing. We see the breakdown, we see the break through, but you don't see the middle. That's doing your work.”

ReGina Smithwick is the founder of ReGina Smithwick Enterprises LLC, a professional Organizer, Certified life coach, the creator of Let's Talk a Talk show & podcast, motivational speaker and author. After undergoing a mental breakdown in 2019, ReGina came to the realization with the aid of a spiritual life coach that she was not standing in her truth and was lying to the world.

This was large in part due to the fact that she suppressed that she was an adopted as a child at an early age. ReGina did the work to get to a better place and found her voice and she now wants to help others to find theirs.

ReGina joins Audley on The Audacious Living Podcast to discuss the process she underwent to find her voice, the experiences of being an adopted child and the hazards of suppressing our true feelings.

While the idea of getting lost may seem scary to some but there are times where it can prove to be very beneficial in the process of finding our true selves.

Losing our way on the pathway of life is completely normal. Our journey isn’t a narrow forward path but rather a rocky road with twists and turns that can send us in all sorts of ways to veer us off course. It can happen quite easily because we’re not always aware of the impulse choices we make and how they’re contributing to the person we’re supposed to be. In other instances, we may find ourselves listening to voices outside of us instead of following our own intuition.

To avoid getting lost altogether, continually question your choices by asking yourself why while making sure that our inner knowing is speaking to whatever it is you are considering, use your own voice and don't rush into your decisions.

You are the expert on your own life. You must believe in yourself, your strengths and your abilities. When you move forward honoring you, life can be so much more exciting. You see all that you are and all that you are capable of.

“A divine man is one who's tapped into ways of a healthy emotional world. He sees himself as a divine being, he loves himself and he knows how to do that. And therefore he can see her, he can hear her. She feels heard and listened to, so he has a balanced perspective, he knows how to actually love himself and contribute.”

Ise (ee-say) is an Emmy Award winner, Inspirational Speaker and Men’s Self-Mastery Coach who's the founder of The Divine Man Self-Mastery Coaching Program that trains individuals and teams alike to perform as their highest self fulfilling his mission of "Once you have YOU, you have everything!"

He joins Audley on The Audacious Living Podcast to discuss his self-mastery with helping men to develop, what it means to be a divine man and the importance of having a strong household.

Episode #149 Reprogamming For Success Featuring Janet Elaine Schmidt

“If you change fear into safety, security, and confidence, you'll have situations that come up, and you go, wait, I would have done that but now I'm doing this. When you do that, you change yourself personally and professionally. “

Whether we realize it or not, our subconscious mind has immense power as it relates to controlling our life and the things we experience. Our reaction to stressful situations, the daily actions we take or even the types of foods we eat are guided by your subconscious beliefs and interpretations.

Think of our subconscious mind like the auto-pilot feature on an airplane. It has been pre-programmed to follow a specific route and you cannot deviate from that route unless you change the directions programmed into it first. In most cases, the programming of our subconscious started from our childhood and followed us into our adult life and continues to this day with each new experience we go through. If you want to change the outcome of your life and reprogram it for success, we must first overwrite the limiting or damaging messages that are stored in your subconscious mind with bold and audacious thoughts and beliefs.

“I believe that whoever you are out there, you have to understand that there's always something greater out there. Whatever you desire, literally is obtainable.”

Janet Elaine Schmidt is the creator of “Reprogram For Success” and, for more than a decade, has been a practical yet potent Quantum Consciousness AcceleratorTM and Integrative Holistic Healing Facilitator, Life/Business Coach, and Inspirational Speaker.

Janet reprograms individuals and business teams for success by aligning emotional intelligence with mental, physical, and spiritual intelligence.

Janet joins The Audacious Living Podcast and discusses the programming that exists inside all of us and where it originated from, the significance of changing the fear that exists inside of us to safety, security and confidence and how we touch others when we choose to transform.
