That Inner Voice

#suicidal #healing #compassion #mentalhealth

Antonio De Sousa is the author of “The Lockdown On Self-Love” who was formerly a plasterer by trade.

In his book he gives his true account of what it was like to be a man who once hated himself, having had a victim mentality and feeling suicidal.

He acknowledges life hasn’t been easy. He had a co-dependency and a predisposition for drugs, which did not help, and having gone through a bad break up recent to the first lockdown in 2020, offered him the opportunity to question his life. This led Antonio to understanding what was going wrong and he started recognizing that the relationship he had with himself for one; was very fragile, and so, he embarked on his healing journey to change for the better.

Antonio promotes transparency and advocates that vulnerability is a true testament to strength.

He gives a voice to sensitive subjects that many men have suffered with.

He loves to share these principles with others, with a dose of personal development and spirituality, to inspire others to realize that the most important relationship there will ever be and is, is the one you have with yourself. That ́s the most important project you will ever work on, is yourself.

Grief - Learning How to Exist With It & Heal with Edy Nathan

We kick off with finding out that our understanding of the word grief, may actually have more levels than we initially think. Being born, the loss of a limb, missing some part of human connection and much more, not only the loss of a loved one.

I ask Edy the big question, “how do we best deal with a person who is going through grief” and her in depth explanation is touching.

Grief is hard to talk about and Edy teaches us all to dance with your grief and that it is your soul that actually offers the answers to relief ultimately.

Edy is dedicated to helping people understand their grief, cope with the fear and the struggles that hold them back, and learn to live fully

An essential element in her practice is to offer clients the chance to combine psychotherapy with a deeper, more spiritual understanding of the self.

What an amazing and touching subject to discuss as grief inevitably affects every one of us and therefore we should all have the tools to help us cope with the emotions and the hurt we feel.
