Taking Back America's Podcast
From Halt the Assaults Website: About UsThe Free Enterprise Alliance is leading the campaign to Halt the Assault on America’s free enterprise system. The Free Enterprise Alliance is the action arm for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and other advocates of limited government, open and fair (and intense) competition, and the economically sound principles upon which America was built. At the heart of the Free Enterprise Alliance’s mission is the belief that while we need government for common sense regulations, the scales have tipped too far in favor of government intrusion and its advocates. The Free Enterprise Alliance believes small business and entrepreneurs grow jobs and our economy, not union bosses and federal bureaucrats. The Free Enterprise Alliance was originally founded by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. to advocate for the voice of small business as well as open and fair competition. Since its inception, it has fought for these goals through research, outreach, and national TV, radio, and billboard campaigns. The Free Enterprise Alliance launched the Halt The Assault campaign in 2010 to give voice to Americans’ frustration over the attack on long-held values of fair play, looking out for the little guy, and the realization that capitalism is a good thing. ABC is a national trade association representing 25,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms in 77 chapters across the United States. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry. Halt The Assault Bloggers Chris Singerling is the director of the Free Enterprise Alliance. He has more than 10 years in political expertise and activism. He is an ardent defender of free markets, limited government, and the Michigan State Spartans. David Ashinoff is manager of the Free Enterprise Alliance, where he works on political fundraising and issue advocacy projects. Prior to joining FEA, David worked at the Republican Governors Association. David graduated from the College of William & Mary with a degree in Government. Brooke Frankenfield currently serves as the Legislative Assistant for Associated Builders & Contractors in Arlington, VA, working on federal labor policy and coordinating the ABC Grassroots committee as well as all ABC National Grassroots efforts. Brooke graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Political Science and History. Sean Thurman currently serves as Manager of Regulatory Affairs for ABC, where he is responsible for the association’s federal agency relations and regulatory advocacy efforts. He is involved in a range of issues, including labor relations, safety and health, environmental protection and procurement, and is an outspoken defender of small business concerns. Sean graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in political science. David Nace is an owner of an ABC member construction company. In addition, he writes articles on free markets and limited government for Liberty Features and other publications. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with an undergraduate degree in Engineering and graduate degree in Business Administration. CEO, Heritage Action for America Mike Needham

From http://heritageaction.com/about-heritage-action/ About Heritage Action Heritage Action for America is needed now more than ever. For nearly four decades, The Heritage Foundation has provided conservative leadership for America. What began as a visionary startup policy shop has blossomed into the most influential think tank in the nation. Along the way, Heritage adapted to market pressures to maintain its position as the world’s most cutting-edge and influential research institution. In 2010, just as millions of Americans concerned about the direction of our country have sought new ways to get involved in fighting for America’s future, The Heritage Foundation sought new ways to work towards an America where Freedom, Opportunity, Prosperity and Civil Society flourish. The answer was Heritage Action for America, an independent sister organization to the Heritage Foundation. We ensure members of Congress hear directly from their constituents, including over 700,000 members of The Heritage Foundation and millions of others around the country who believe in our principles and share our vision of America’s future. As a 501(c)(4) organization, Heritage Action for America allows unprecedented coordination and communication with concerned citizens who want to be part of the national dialogue. Our country stands at a precipice. The size and scope of the federal government is growing at unprecedented rates. The American people are increasingly aware of this and looking for more opportunities to make their voices heard and impact the decisions of their elected representatives. Heritage Action for America speaks directly to the American people in order to break through the establishment in Washington. Author of Average Joe

From Tate Publishing's Website: Average Joe The Story of an Unlikely Candidate by Robert Hickman & Susanna Hickman Bartee "Do you ever find yourself shouting at the television as you listen to a politician spout ideas you know are unsound? Joe Blankenship has been doing that more and more often over the past several years, and it's his belief that someone needs to step forward and represent sound ideals for the community. Then one day, an idea presents itself: What if that someone was me? Join authors Robert Hickman and Susanna Hickman Bartee as they introduce you to Average Joe's everyman Joe Blankenship—a retired, small-town American rancher who decides to speak up and run for office just to see if the establishment will listen. Joe is no political expert, and not even his own family expects his campaign to last long. But when he begins giving speeches about how the government ought to be held to the same standards as private citizens and businesses, his message resounds with just enough people—and support—to keep him going. He may always be just an Average Joe, but it turns out that might be exactly who his community has been looking for."
