38 The temptation of Jesus, our temptations, and abundant living?

The temptation of Jesus, our temptations, and abundant living?
The longer I endeavor in my walk with Christ the more I see what the enemy likes to use with believers. Most of the time the enemy of our souls doesn't tempt us with "bad" things. I truly believe he uses what he used on Jesus during his temptation that we read about in scripture. I think he uses a combination of things like pride, and prosperity. I won't ruin the episode though. Listen in as a speak about some of the tactics I believe the enemy uses and what I'm learning from The temptation of our Lord.

37 Dealing with deep hurts, how to forgive and set boundaries
Style and Stewardship - Holistic Nutrition, Wellness, Faithful Lifestyle Stewardship
10/13/21 • 32 min
We have all been hurt by someone at some point. Sometimes we have not quite healed, dealt with, set boundaries or forgiven those that have hurt us.
Some of our hurts are deeper than others and it takes Christ and some intentional choices on our part to heal.

29 Thinking out loud about "self-care," and "self-love." Part 2

Episode 29 Thinking out loud about "self-care," and "self-love." Part 2 This episode piggybacks off the last with a bit more to say about these self-concepts and their popularity.
I'm no expert just a woman pondering on how, or if something falls in line with the word of God.
Wondering aloud if we should adopt all the "buzz words" that are circulating in our culture.
Honestly, regardless of whether other Christians or popular people agree or not, it all has to be found and confirmed from a Christian worldview.
I hope this episode blesses and encourages you.
Have you given any thought to these self-concepts?

I also shared something that God laid on my heart awhile ago. "Stop needing to know before you go."

04: The Lies of Comparison
Style and Stewardship - Holistic Nutrition, Wellness, Faithful Lifestyle Stewardship
10/07/20 • 28 min
It is so easy to get caught up in what you do not have. If you are not discerning what God has blessed you with, you just won’t see it. I’m sharing why I don’t believe “Comparison is the thief of joy.”
In this episode, I wanted to delve into a Lie that I believe we can fall victim to if we are not careful.
What I want you to walk away with is [simply the fact] that God is Sufficient.
God is Good!

83 Faith in the Process Not the Goal - Wisdom in Wellness
Style and Stewardship - Holistic Nutrition, Wellness, Faithful Lifestyle Stewardship
10/20/23 • 27 min
Have you given God your wellness goals? I believe that we shouldn’t leave God out of anything, especially our wellness. Sometimes we approach our health with our minds fixed on a goal to the detriment of the process.
Health is a process.
This process is something I believe God is teaching me. Some of us have health issues like autoimmunity and other health concerns. Sometimes we can become discouraged when “our” vision of what wellness looks like doesn’t fit our experience or timeline.
But I want to encourage you to not lose faith in the process. Instead, lean on God during the setbacks or health issues that flare. Things you feel you “should” be healed of by now or disappointment that causes you to want to throw in the towel.
I know how all of that feels. Even as a Holistic Nutritionist, the sheer volume of information that I continue to learn can feel daunting.
But I still LOVE learning and, I believe that God allows us to see how finite our understanding of the human body is to recognize our need for Him, yes, even in that!
We are finite, but HE is not!
In this episode, I want to encourage you to invite God into your healing process and focus on trusting Him with its outcome. Even though it may not look the way you intended or meet the goal you set.
His ways are certainly not our ways and He can give us wisdom in our wellness.
