Seeing Red A True Crime Podcast
We are BACK for our season 7 premier!
After covering some truly harrowing cases towards the end of season 6, we thought we would start season 7, and the new year, on a slightly lighter note, with a case that features limited violence - yes, you heard that right!
This week, Bethan tells us about an audacious art heist, during which 13 priceless paintings and art type things(!) were stolen from a magnificent gallery in Boston in 1991.
Continuing the theme next week, Mark will be telling us about a gang of criminals who targeted the homes of the rich and famous in Knightsbridge and Kensington, stealing £26million worth of cash and jewels.
The week after that... well, I am sure normal business will resume with our usual murder and mayhem.
Our show sponsor this week is www.stitchfix.co.uk/red - the online personal styling service for men and women. Do check them out!
If you would like to support us and keep the show alive, and check out our bonus content too, then head to www.patreon.com/seeingredpodcast - we have a LOT of plans for Patreon this year and will be announcing all the exciting details later this month.
Our theme music was arranged and composed by friend of the show, Holly-Jane Shears - she is incredibly talented - check out her amazing work at www.soundcloud.com/DeadDogInBlackBag

S6 Ep25: SEASON 6 FINALE: The Torture and Murder of Michael Gilbert

This week, in a listener recommended case (thanks Stuart!), we explore modern slavery in the UK as we delve into the distressing case of Michael Gilbert, a 26-year-old man with additional needs, whose vulnerabilities were so cruelly exploited by one sick and twisted family.
This is dark and frustrating and depressing. You have been warned.
Happy Christmas!

S7 Ep2: Burglary in the EXTREME

This week, we take a deep dive into the world of the rich and famous as we discuss the biggest burglary in English criminal history.
And I say ‘burglary’, but actually it was plural – the gang at the centre of today’s case were responsible for not one, but three burglaries in which they targeted the homes of London’s glitterati. This was an audacious crime spree which saw the thieves walk away with a total of £26 million worth of jewellery and cash in the space of just 13 days. The gang blew some of their spoils on shopping trips to Harrods and gorged themselves senseless at various restaurants around the capital.
