You’ve done all the hard work to get new customers, clients, or members. Now it’s time to love up on them, so that they fall in love with YOU, they transform their lives, and want to keep coming back for more!

1. If you want a successful online program, your customers need to actually go through the program & do the work...

No matter how amazing, life-changing, mind-altering & badass your online course or membership is, it’s never going to succeed if your customers don’t go through the program.

With so many thought leaders and influencers creating online programs these days, and with all of the valuable content that people are giving away for free on webinars, Youtube, Instagram, Facebook Live... most of us are getting an onslaught of information and inspiration from every direction.

While this is great in so many ways, it really sucks that your customers can very easily be distracted from ever doing a single part of your program. (Who out there has joined a membership and then never ever logged into the membership portal?? It can’t just be me...)

This is a recipe for cancellations & refund requests. AKA losing those clients you worked so hard to secure.

And you won’t get the testimonials and case studies that you deserve... if only all the people who signed up would have just friggin’ consumed your content & did the work. (Seriously, they’re missing out).

Eventable is an online tool that allows you to easily reach customers through their calendars. It only takes a minute to add your live broadcast (with the date, time, and link) to your Eventable account, and then it’s one simple click for your audience to see your events on their calendar. You can choose which audience sees the event, too, so you can broadcast your event to people in your program or people who haven’t joined yet.

How does this help your online program?

As Marie Forleo loves to say: “If it’s not scheduled, it’s not real."

If your live broadcasts are not on your program participants’ calendars, do you really expect them to show up? If you’ve been in the online program game for a while, you probably already know the answer: nope!

Most people aren’t likely to add events to their calendar right away (I know I‘m guilty of this sometimes!). Even if they’re really excited to attend your live broadcast, if the responsibility rests on them to remember the date/time/link for it, they’re likely to lose track of it in the chaos of their daily lives.

Don’t put this responsibility in their hands.

Make it EASY & mindless for them to know when & where your broadcasts are, and people will be way more likely to show up for them.

Hi guys. Today we’re talking about something that’s a little counterintuitive... doing things that don’t feel good for the success of your business.

It happens to be a few days before Halloween, so it feels appropriate to have today’s topic be Poison. And it also happens to be Scorpio season, so it feels particularly appropriate to have today’s topic be Poison as Medicine.

If you’re a business owner you probably already know that doing things you don’t want to do is apart of building & growing a profitable business. Because there will always be parts of your business you’re resistant to because you’re scared. Maybe you’re really nervous about increasing your prices because part of you thinks you still don’t deserve to get paid. Or you hate posting on social media because you’re nervous about opening yourself up to negative comments (or maybe worse... crickets on the other end in response to all the hard work you put on or creative artistry you feel you created). Or any number of other things.

But these things you’re resisting doing in your business... they’re about so much more than just “I don’t feel like it.” They’re about deep insecurities and worries you have. And when you ignore that when they come up... you’re going to stay trapped in the patterns that are limiting you and preventing you from the goals you set.

In spiritual communities, there’s a lot of people who talk about the importance of feeling good. Being high vibe all the time, thinking positive thoughts. Because if you don’t, you’re going to attract bad things into your life. In this mindset, one second of negative thoughts can derail all the work you’ve been putting in for years on yourself and your business.

“Oh no! You just thought about the debt that you currently have. Quick, start thinking about making millions of dollars, because even a second of thinking about your debt will attract more of it.”

So... this is obviously bullshit. On a very practical level, we need to face our problems in order to move through them, resolve them, and come to a resolution. I mean, if you refuse to think about your debt, you’re probably not taking any steps to pay it off, either.

And on a spiritual level, if we just Band-Aid our problems with affirmations about “positivity” and “good vibes only” (which we might not actually feel on a deep level, and so magically we are not putting our full energy behind it anyway), then we’re pretty much standing in a pile of shit, staring up at the sun and wondering why everything smells bad. That negative thing is going to stick around because we never took care of it, we just pretended it wasn’t happening.

Okay I’m being a little black or white here. Maybe the shit you’re standing in would wash away with the rain or be eaten by a bunch of small dogs, but a much much faster way, is to just clean it up yourself. Or feed it to your garden. Or at least take a few steps to the side.

This is where the concept of poison as medicine comes in.

At the right dosage, any poison can become medicine. And at the wrong dosage, any medicine can become poison. That’s why you can overdose on medicine that’s supposed to help you.

The ancient Greeks had a word for this: Pharmakon. Plato used it to talk about things that could be used as a cure or as poison... the answer, of course, is how we choose to use it. But if this idea stretches far enough back that Plato had something to say about it... you better believe there’s some real magical energy behind it.

For many of us, when it comes to the growth of our business and ourselves, Pharmakon plays out like this: our biggest traumas can actually become our biggest assets. In other words, our wounds can become our wealth (as the lovely Dr. Carolyn Elliott says. Which if you haven’t listened to our interview with her on the podcast, I’ll link it in the show notes).

This might be hard to believe at first, and it might even seem shocking to say out loud. Wait, what?? We’re supposed to acknowledge those scary and painful things that we hate thinking about?? But this is actually the only way to solve them. The same way that if you don’t talk about something in therapy that is deeply troublin...

The wound of the witch is something Amy thinks resides in all women on a collective consciousness level. At first, it was terrifying for her to reclaim the word “witch” because her fallback plan if this whole entrepreneur thing didn’t work out was to return to patriarchal corporate America. Then the voice of divine source told her she had to reclaim witch, bitch, and whore (all at the same time!) — she faced a ton of internal resistance. Still, she followed that gut instinct even though she didn’t truly know what it meant... and the rest is history!

“Bitch was easy. Witch terrified me. Whore... I was raised Catholic, where you’re either a virgin or a whore, and I quickly fell in with the whores.” — Amy

What does it mean to be a witch? What does taking back that archetype look like? (06:00)

Amy’s work is about helping women to work with the energy of the divine archetypes, and create their own individual expressions of the archetypes. Witch is about spiritual and energetic power. Working wit hthe conept of magnetism, drawing toward you that which you desire, and working with the magic of conscious creation.

What does it mean to work with the energy of the bitch? (07:00)

Bitch is the backbone of the whole operation. If your bitch is powerful and strong, you’re radiating fierce female energy. You’re setting boundaries, working on your mental and emotional power, and overcoming the fear of putting yourself out there. Your bitch is going to help you stand in your truth even when other people are saying they don’t like what you’re doing.

What does it mean to work with the energy of the whore? (08:00)

Whore means something different to every woman, because each of us have different levels of sexual or sensual repression. Working with the whore is all about feeling good about yourself, feeling safe and whole in your body, and allowing yourself to feel good and trust that it’s okay to feel pleasure.
