He has a special interest in cultural psychiatry and has worked as a consultant for a cultural consultation service in East London. He has journal publications on the use of cultural formulations in psychiatric assessments. He lectures regularly at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
