"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we'll ever do." Berne Brown
4 years ago I was in a depression and had lost hope for a better life. I was deep in my addictions of drinking, codependence, people pleasing and trying to control world around me. I had completely lost myself in the darkness of a life that felt out of control and unmanageable. Then I took the brave step into Soul Recovery- this was the start of learning to love myself and remember that there is always hope. It wasn't stopping drinking that bettered my life, it was the spiritual awakening that transformed my life from the inside out.

Releasing Resentments with Gretchen Stecher, MA
Send one way text to Rev Rachel
Gretchen Stecher, MA is a Somatic Psychotherapist and has been in recovery for over 20 years, so she has personally been though the recovery journey and knows the power of a spiritual awakening. We had such a great conversation, and I loved her wisdom around resentments, and how to release the grip they can have on our lives. Recognizing and releasing resentments is an important part of Soul Recovery, and I now you will be as interested in this topic as I was.
Gretchen works one-on-one with clients specializing in long term recovery, trauma, ACOA, and healing from sexual assault. She also leads workshops, including a workshop to work through resentments called 'Shine the Light'. Seeing our Blind Spots- An Opportunity for Soul Recovery
Send one way text to Rev Rachel
In my Soul Recovery I have had the opportunity to look honestly at my self, all of myself- even my blind spots and short comings. Actually recognizing those aspects of myself and taking responsibility for my thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions has changed the way I interact with the world. It turns out that the blind spots I was afraid to see, have become gifts of transformation.
