Hello everyone! This episode I will be discussing the incident that inspired Theodore Gericault to create the painting “The Raft of Medusa”. This is a true historical incident that happened after a French frigate called “Le Radeau de la Meduse” ran aground in the ocean, and with a combination of incompetence and negligence, 147 people were put onto a makeshift raft in the ocean with horrifying consequences. Please have a listen, and please follow me wherever you listen to podcasts and on all of my socials. Thank you so much, and take care!
