04/06/20 • 39 min
Ryann is a success mentor, happiness expert, professional speaker, and host of The Happy Moms Show - The #1 podcast for moms on a mission to raise a conscious generation of heart-centered, emotionally intelligent, innovative leaders.
Ryann believes positive change comes from within and that family life is one of the biggest catalysts for growth. She is a loving wife, and a happy mom to her two daughters. Her mantra is, “Let’s change the world by starting at home,” and that’s exactly what she’s doing through embodying the lifestyle shifts she teaches.
Ryann shares her experience with postpartum anxiety and we do a deep dive into the five habits she uses to live a truly happy life - movement, meditation, awareness, enthusiasm, and breathing. We also get real about the shifting priorities brought about with the transition to motherhood and how to love ourselves through that transformation.

BONUS EPISODE: Doña Bumgarner is a life coach for frustrated moms who are exhausted by living in a culture that doesn’t support them as moms or as women. She helps them get in control of all the parts of their lives, so they can feel like great moms and whole humans.
Doña is also the host of the Nurturing Habit podcast, and she shares the ways we can nurture ourselves as whole women so we can live more complete and vibrant lives. Postpartum Perspectives
03/23/20 • 35 min
Vickie Ceccato is a married mom of two kids, one neurotypical and one with special needs. She works full time in sales, but in her spare time (whenever that is) she is the Chapter Lead for MomsNiagara, powered by MomsTO.
Vickie experienced postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter, and she had to learn to prioritize her self-care and her mental health in order to be the best mom she could be. While Vickie raves about how hardcore we moms are here in the US, I think she’s pretty hardcore herself!

Vanessa's Story - Running in Triangles
Postpartum Perspectives
03/02/20 • 41 min
Vanessa Rapisarda is a mother of three and the founder of Running in Triangles, a blog dedicated to helping women with postpartum depression. She runs the blog from Manitoba, Canada along with her sister, Jess.
They have also created the Postpartum Depression Survival Guide - an email list for mothers with postpartum depression. It gives you access to a free resource library with printable workbooks, a list of crisis numbers, exclusive discounts, and more. Their dedication to ending the stigma surrounding perinatal mood disorders is definitely inspiring, and I highly recommend their website as a comprehensive resource.

BONUS: Intergenerational Trauma and Perinatal Mood Disorders featuring Ameé Quiriconi
Postpartum Perspectives
07/24/20 • 46 min
Ameé Quiriconi is a mental health and parenting advocate, she hosts a podcast called One Broken Mom, and she is seriously awesome.
I think you’ll find our conversation about the effect of intergenerational trauma on perinatal mood disorders fascinating. While I’ve discussed biological factors frequently on the show, Ameé and I dig into risk factors linked to a personal or family history of anxiety, depression, or trauma. There may be more triggering you than you realize, and more that you need to work toward healing.
