YouTube Podcasting: Step-by-Step Guide to Ingesting Your Podcast into YouTube
In this episode of "The Podmaster", I'm sharing the process of adding your podcast to YouTube using its simple ingest system.
If you're a Libsyn customer, you probably won't need to go through any of this because they offer an easy way to add your show using their destinations page, and a similar tool is planned for Captivate customers.
But in case you're needing to add your own podcast to YouTube, here I am walking you through it.
To start with, you'll need to go into your show settings to obtain your RSS feed from your podcast hosting company.
Then, make sure you're logged into your YouTube account.
You'll be using the YouTube Studio tab to create and upload your podcast.
It goes without saying this is audio, so if you're the kind of person that needs to follow along these steps, here's the video version.
I'll also be sharing my views on audiograms and offering you suggestions for a far better use of your time!

Authenticity in podcasting is all the rage these days, but let’s be real—most of the folks shouting about it don’t even know what they’re talking about.
Let's learn what trust really means in this wild audio podcasting jungle, and spoiler alert: it’s not about slapping out unedited recordings like some sort of lazy podcasting buffet.
We’ll also throw some shade at the likes of Steven Bartlett, whose antics might just be the poster child for everything that’s gone wrong with podcasting trust.

Reasons not to edit your podcast with AI like Descript
Podcasting Insights with The Podmaster: growth advice for people and brands
05/09/25 • 10 min
Are you leaning a bit too heavily on Descript? Or, God forbid, trusting a one-click AI tool to turn your podcast into the audio equivalent of a ready-made M&S dinner for a first date you actually care about? This episode is for you.
Listen, I don't care what all the “podcast productivity” wizards on LinkedIn will tell you. They love to make bold claims about how AI editing tools are making everyone’s life easier. But let’s be honest: if you use these tools the way they want you to—blindly, with zero thought—you’ll end up with a podcast that sounds like it was stitched together by someone who barely knows you, your show, or your audience. (If it sounds like I’m describing your last agency-produced episode, well... you said it, not me.)
Let’s get something clear: I like Descript. I use Descript. It’s not about burning it at the stake. It’s that people are treating it like some magic bullet, when actually, used wrong, it’s more like shooting yourself in the foot repeatedly on autopilot. You want action? Here it is: listen to this episode and you’ll finally get what makes a difference between editing for quality, and mashing away at “remove filler words” until you don’t even sound like yourself anymore.
