How to address real Problems? 5 - By Sri Krishnaji

Isn’t true that there will always be polarity? there will be chaos and order . Is is not the same with violence and peace?

As long as we human species live I am sure we will have all these problems. We are masters at creating problems. Where there is no problem we can create a problem. And as long as we are going to be in unawakened state we can create more problems. Yes, all these principles are true - where there is order there is chaos, where there is peace there will also be violence all that is true. But what we have to understand is that most of it is created by us unnecessarily. So whatever is unnecessary that is what we need to stop.

There are definitely certain things that is totally out of our control. But I am sure wars, I am sure destruction of nature, I am sure racial discrimination I think these are problems definitely we can find solutions to if we can awaken to this enlightened state of consciousness. We of course cannot stop from an asteroid hitting earth I don’t think so that’s possible. If that happens then we have a serious problem. We definitely can’t stop if something happens tomorrow and weather changes for some reason we don’t know. like, or if sun becomes suddenly too hot.

These things are beyond our control. We don’t know whether we can control those things. But definitely there are many many problems that we can address as human beings. The way we can bring up our children, the way we relate to our wife or husband, the way we can relate to our brother or sister, the way we relate to our parents, the way we relate to friends, the way we relate to societies, nations. I think all these, I think we can definitely address.

we don’t need so much of conflict and so much of tension because we basically believe that we are the most superior species in this planet. and that you know we can control anything and everything. But unfortunately we are not able to control ourselves and we are not able to control anything that is happening around us.

Though we tend to believe that we can control everything. And everything seems to be constantly going out of control. And the reason that’s happening is because we do not have an awakened state. So yes, the principles you are saying is true but these can be worked on and we can make sure that there is lesser and lesser chaos and there is more and more order. less and less violence and more and more peace.

For example we all know that we can stay healthy if we stop eating sugar. But none of us want to do that. We want to eat sugar and fall sick. And after falling sick we want to say, now ok I want to stay healthy. Yes, the logic that yes health is there because there is sickness, logic is there but you don’t need to have sickness. you can stay healthy, if you really follow the diet and exercise, meditate, do yoga you can stay healthy you don’t need sickness.

So all these principles are right. There is so much that we as human beings can do. There is so much that we as human beings can change. And that’s possible when we awaken to this powerful state of peace.

Sri Krishnaji & Meng Foon on Oneness of our Humanity - By Sri Krishnaji

Look back at the riots that broke out in USA this year against racial prejudice. Millions world over voiced their pain at the humiliation they had to endure, all because they belong to a different race. It was centuries of pent up anger and sorrow pouring out. These fires of racial discrimination have been passed on as behaviours and meal time stories by grandparents and parents to grandchildren and children.
For centuries we have hurt our fellow human beings not because they did something wrong to us, but simply because the color of their skin or the shape of their nose or eyes was different.
We hurt them because they speak a different language, worshipped a different God or bear the tag of a different caste.

KRISHNAJI IN CONVERSATION WITH MENG FOON, RACE RELATIONS COMMISSIONER, NEW ZEALAND
When Preethaji and I spoke to Meng, we were very touched by his simplicity and delighted by his humour. As race relations commissioner of human rights he is the perfect person for us to have this conversation.
Question:
How do we bring about a change to dissolve racial discrimination in the world?

We can train our minds consciously and ensure that what we are saying to people and what we are doing to people is for the betterment because obviously if we think about it we can’t say something nasty. Would you actually like that particular aspect come to you?

So putting myself in other people’s shoes is very important. I think when we say actually have a bit of life experience and knowing what has happened to myself in the past then I do not want it to happen to other people. That is very important.

I will give you a prime example of me generally and may be its across the world. Mean when they get sick they do not acknowledge that they are sick, they feel the pain but they won’t go to the doctor. They think this is going to be self-healing.

And when we put it into a racism context or discrimination context people know that it is wrong but they don’t want to admit that they are wrong. The prime issue is we don’t self acknowledge that there is a problem here and I need to change.

And I mentioned before if you put yourself into their shoes of the receiver, victim you may actually say, gosh! i didn’t realize it was so hurtful. I am actually listening to myself and the words i am saying in perpetrating so am I going to change? and that’s a brave person, a brave person will say, look I have been wrong in the past. I apologize. I need to actually change and I hope that change.

The important thing is that we need some people to change and we need those people to be proactive to be anti-racist, like people are anti-plastic, make sure our waterways are clean. anti-plastic means I am not going to buy any more plastic I will see, and plastic on the shelf I am not gonna buy it. but also I am going to lobby that the super market doesn’t actually have nay more plastic. So in terms of the racism part when people are active and making sure that they call out or tap somebody on the shoulder anytime when some one says something derogatory that is hurtful to somebody they actually say - can you please stop it, can you please be kinder.

When are we going to realize that we are a part of this ocean of one humanity?

We are inseparable from each other.

Every human being needs to awaken to peace in consciousness. We need to realise

Ekam Sath - Vipraaha Bahudhaa Vadhanthi.

Which means that beyond all the forms, appearances, colours of our bodies as different races, beyond all religious beliefs, beyond all our biological and emotional inclinations, we are part of one cosmic reality, the one - Ekam.
