How not to give up in your weight loss goals
Overcome Emotional Eating
03/29/21 • 16 min
Why do you give up on your weight loss goals?
You set a goal to lose weight, you make a commitment and actually we are very good in making commitments. Once you make the commitment, you generate excitement and determination, you plan your meals, sign up for the gym, or for a programme and you are fired up. And all of that feels amazing. But then what happens? Just after you made the commitment, the reality sets in. And how do you feel? You start feeling deprivation, confusion, fear, doubt, anger, sadness, overwhelm, shame, rebellion, you name it...
This is all what happens, you feel this terrible emotions. And what you make all of this mean?
That was a terrible idea. That’s is too hard. This went terribly wrong, this shouldn’t be happening.
Then you say: I never did this commitment anyway.
But then, if you signed up for a programme, gym, or even reading a book about weight loss, what do you make it mean? The programme is terrible, or you are terrible. I tried it and it didn’t work, or you are not capable.
But what if we could look at these terrible emotions and thoughts that come up after we make the commitment, as something normal? So, as soon as you make the commitment this for sure is going to happen on purpose, it supposed to, and there is nothing wrong with the world or with you.
So, to go through this you have to have courage. You need to move forward despite the way you feel. And there is where most people give up. They don’t want to feel terrible.
Eating cupcakes feels good and losing weight feel terrible, right?
So, once you are willing to stay in that place, and learn how to get through it and learn all the skills to manage your mind, and to not eat when you are not hungry, all of that creates capability, which is like your skill set, and once you develop that, then you get confidence.
All success is the ability to get from commitment to capability.
I call it the river of misery. You need to be willing to go through the river of misery to be able to achieve your goal. But there is no way to get to confidence without going through the process of courage and capability.
Everything we want is in the other side of this.
So answering the question I asked in the beginning of the post: Why do we give up in our health goals? The answer is: because we are not willing to go through the river of misery.
We are not willing to feel negative emotions.
Then we give up. Then we change the commitment once you start navigating into the river of misery, because once you change or give up on your commitment then you don’t need to go through the process you don’t need to feel terrible.
So how NOT to give up on your weight loss goals?
By being willing to feel any emotion that will come up to you.
Do not give up when things starts to get terrible, it’s normal, it’s part of the deal, and you will succeed once you get to the other side of the river.
The best news is: you will evolve, you’ll learn, you’ll have the capability and confidence to keep the result forever.

It is all about fitness
Overcome Emotional Eating
05/03/21 • 15 min
I want to tell you something about me that you probably already know (or not)... I love CrossFit and weight training.
I love working out! I train 4 times a week, every week for the past 3 1/2 years.
I have muscle pain, sometimes I don't feel like going to class, I push my body to the limit that I never thought was possible for me. And I got a body transformation as a result. (If you want to see it, check my instagram.)
I'm physically fit. At least, I am more now than 3 1/2 years ago, no doubts about it.
I want you to imagine how someone become physically fit, just like I share my experience. It's a long process. Right?
I was listening to Tony Robins podcast and he talked about being emotional fit, and my mind went crazy trying to get the concept.
Comparing to physically fit, that means we can do things physically that someone who is not fit can't do.
When I started CrossFit I couldn't do 1 push up, now I can do 20.
Thinking about that way emotionally it's super interesting.
Being emotionally fit is having the ability to handle and process emotions in a way that serves us best. Better than before.
It's having emotional resilience to any situation life throw at us.
It's being able to cope with negative emotions without having to escape by using food.
But how do we get emotionally fit?
By training it. Having tools to process and manage emotions and practice, practice, practice.
It's spending time understanding how that specific emotion feels in your body, how does it look like to you, what's the speed, the colour, the location.
It's feeling the emotion. Giving space to be there, without resisting it.
It's a skill we need to practice over and over.
We need to be emotionally fit to stop overeating, over drinking, over spending, etc.
A Coach is like a personal trainer to your brain.
A Coach will help you with the tools, show you how to do it, and guide you to places you never thought you would go.
Being emotionally fit is being able to handle anything.
That's what I want. Do you?
If you want to get emotionally fit, join my 6-week group coaching programme where I will teach all the tools to become emotionally fit and transform your life. JOIN HERE
We start on May 17th - Don't miss this opportunity - only 10 spots available
Not sure this programme is for you? I can help you - I am offering 20min free calls where you can ask all the questions about the group programme.

Here is the testimonial from my client Helen:
"I attended a conference where Pam was speaking about emotional eating and the poor eating habits CEOs and other Executives have. Practically everything Pamella said resonated with me and made a great deal of sense. Some six months later, having considered what Pam had said, I decided to bite the bullet and contact her. My work-life balance was very out of synch and, as a result, I had completely neglected my own health and wellbeing and had piled on weight and become very sedentary.
I arranged to speak with Pam and engaged on a 6-month programme with her. Every week, Pam calls me and we talk through the model and fundamentals of how the human brain works. Within 1-2 weeks, my eating habits had completely changed and I was much more aware of my actions. Pam has always been non-judgemental and supportive. Her sessions are both extremely interesting as well as practically helpful.
I was able to recalibrate my life. I now hill walk three times per week and have lost 26lbs. I am so much fitter and happier with my level of control over my eating habits. I am signing up for a further 6- months so that I can continue my journey with Pam’s support. This programme has allowed me to be more effective at work and cope with stress much more effectively.
For anyone who is thinking of asking for Pam’s help, do it. She has helped me immensely and I am so grateful for her guidance and expertise. You won’t regret it. I now have the tools to amend my eating habits for life. No more yo-yo dieting for me!"

Nothing is permanent & Super Secret Announcement
Overcome Emotional Eating
04/25/22 • 22 min
Are you in? email me at [email protected] saying that you listened to this episode and want in!
Super secret announcement!
You know when you have an idea for something amazing but fear comes in and stops you from taking action on it? The idea doesn't go away, it keeps nagging in the back of your mind.
That's me right now!
But the nagging is annoying and louder than the fear.
So, here I am... I'm going to share my amazing idea with fear anyway!
I have a GREAT 1-on-1 programme to help my type-A successful clients to overcome emotional eating and I absolutely LOVE working with them, but lately I've also been feeling called to help more and more women, and that got me thinking...
I know how challenging it can be when you're trying to stop emotional overeating, lose weight and feel better and no one is there to help with mindset or even knowing what to do.
So, my idea is to create a community of like-minded women to help and support one another in their journey to overcome emotional eating, lose weight, have fun and more pleasure in their lives... all in one place!
This is just a raw idea, nothing has been created YET, however I can see this turning into a powerful house community of badass women to cheer each other up, grow and be the best version of ourselves together.
It's going to be a space that is safe and free of judgment to empower women with the mindset and skill set to take ACTION by creating pleasure beyond food (hmm might that be a cool name!?). It's going to be a virtual party and a hi vibe place to hang out with women that want the same things as you 🎊 because I believe that when women come together, great things happen and I want to contribute to that.
Right... So, this is a PRE-reveal of Founders Launch of my new membership.
Founder? YEP, that means lots of perks, lower ££ locked for life and being part of the creation.
I'm going to need your ideas, feedback and insights to shape this to better serve you.
What do you say? Are you in?
So, for the next 7 days you can be a badass Founding Founder of AMAZINGNESS member (before I launch this for real and the ££ goes up).
If you are in, email me at [email protected] say that you are all in.
Can't wait... Eeeeek! So excited!
And of course, this episode is talking about why I want this community by being vulnerable and open about my own struggles with my mental health. So listen up to today's episode.
Let's connect on Social Media, I want to get to know you!

Obstacles
Overcome Emotional Eating
04/05/21 • 16 min
"Obstacle is the way"
I heard this quote from Stephen Larsen on a podcast a while ago and he was talking about business.
Then I realised that obstacles are the way to succeed not only for entrepreneurs and businesses, but for anyone who has a goal to achieve.
I want to use this powerful quote to talk about weight loss goals.
For you to succeed in weight loss you need to overcome obstacles.
But what we start the process with the thought: "I want this to be super easy."
Do you know why most people aren't successful in losing weight?
Because it's hard.
They start facing the obstacles and then they just give up.
That happens because we believe that losing weight should be easy.
And we shouldn't feel any negative emotion during the process, that's when emotional eating comes up strong.
We start overeating to numb the "horrible" feelings that obstacles bring to us.
I'm glad it's not easy, because you have to overcome the hard things to become the person who can lose weight and keep it off forever.
You're either going to go through it to the other side and lose the weight or you go back to the cave and hide from the obstacles.
If it was easy, everyone would do it.
It is supposed to be hard. but not impossible.
It's ok to have obstacles, just keep moving forward.
Let me tell you where most of the obstacles come from.
Are you ready?
They come from your mind.
They are thoughts like this:
It's too hard.
I don't know what to do.
I can't control myself around food.
I can't say no to people offering me food.
I have no will power
I have no self-discipline
There's something wrong with me.
I don't want to feel deprived.
Etc...
These are only few examples of thoughts that you will have to overcome in order to achieve your weight loss goal.
That's the good news.
If 90% of the obstacles we will face are in our own mind, we can learn how to manage our mind and overcome them.
Obstacles are the way to succeed. They are not optional.
So, you get to choose here.
1) Keep trying to lose weight and giving up every time a obstacles shows up.
OR
2) Learn how to manage your mind, so you can overcome all the obstacles and achieve your goal.
What's going to be?
