In this week's episode we talk to cyclist and content creator Faith Irvin about:

  • Telling it like it is: Balancing life's "hot mess" with time on the bike
  • Crit racing 101
  • Thee Abundance Project
  • Engaging more women and women of color in cycling

When cycling enthusiast Faith Irvin isn’t running her business or raising her family, you’ll probably find her on her bike. She started road cycling about five years ago, eventually transitioned into racing. She’s currently training for Criteriums as a cat 3 racer. Her goal of sharing her experiences as an everyday hotmess cyclist allows everyone to see the ups and downs of balancing life on the bike and life at home, and hopefully laugh about it alongside her.

Please note that this podcast is created strictly for educational purposes and should never be used for medical diagnosis and treatment.

Episode 115 with Leadville 100 MTB Winner, Melisa Rollins

In this week's episode we talk to Leadville 100 MTB Winner, Melisa Rollins about:

  • How journey into mountain biking (hint: her parents are badass!)
  • Her fueling and hydration strategy for Leadville 2024 (and how that has evolved)
  • Shifting racing strategies to build more momentum and inspiration

Melisa Rollins is a professional cyclist who lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. She started cycling casually in 2016 when she signed up for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB on a whim— a race her parents had been racing every year for nearly 2 decades. Crossing the finish line in Leadville that year lit a fire in her, and she went back almost every year with the simple goal of being faster than her previous self. In 2021 her result at Leadville led her to her first pro-contract with Team Twenty24. Here, she had the opportunity to become a more well-rounded bike racer and race many disciplines: road, gravel, mountain bike, time trial, and criteriums. She learned she loves racing just about any discipline on two wheels, and is always eager to spread positivity on the bike.
