In our world with modern technology and social media, it’s hard not to compare ourselves with others. We get trapped in this temptation to feel perfect. It’s dangerous and soon turns into us wanting more and more. It’s never enough. We want to feel recognized and significant. Lies and more temptations start to form. We get so caught up in pursuing these things, that we miss out on the small joys of life. When we fall into this temptation, there is always a price to pay. We turn further away from God. What are you hungry for? Are you constantly striving for something that you think will satisfy your hunger? When we are striving for fulfillment and trust ourselves more than God, we become easily tempted. Then when we are unable to get what we want, we are destroyed. We think it’s the only thing that would make us happy. We fall into Satan’s lies. He is always trying to get us into an agreement with him, but always leaves out the details. Satan tries to keep us far from God. He targets our wants, our will, and our way. In this sermon, we learn how important it is to humbly submit ourselves to God and how we must trust Him more than ourselves. Speaker: Amanda Beggs

Does your faith have a whole in it? Does your faith go beyond the walls of the church? Sometimes we isolate ourselves in our own Christian bubble.

We try to escape from the world. But this is not what we are called to do. Each of us are called to live a life on mission for God with compassion and love. We are God’s plan to spread His good news and live out our faith publicly.

Everyone has their own unique gifts and talents that can be used to point people toward Jesus. In this sermon, we learn more about the importance of living a life on mission and our part in God's plan.

In this first part of our Hebrews series, we’ve been focusing on letting go of things that are holding us back.

Is Jesus worth it? Is it worth completely leaving behind an old way of life? Unequivocally, yes! In this sermon, Pastor Scott gives us a great word about letting go of trying to save ourselves. We aren’t perfect if we just follow the law. We all fall short at times. A better hope was introduced so that we could draw near to God and it wasn’t based on anything we can do. There’s nothing we can do to deserve it. We are saved not when we get our act together, but when we recognize that we never will.
