Conceal or Confess
It’s difficult to be vulnerable. Sometimes we feel so shameful of what we have done in the past that we keep it concealed. The voice of shame makes us feel unworthy and insignificant. We want to hide our sins and end up just tolerating them. How do we resist the devil if truth isn’t in us? If we aren’t truthful with ourselves and our sins, we become easily tempted. The more we try to hide our sin, the worse it gets. This is what the devil wants. If we are vulnerable and bring our sin into the light, all of this goes away. Confession helps us see the truth. Living Missionally
Does your faith have a whole in it? Does your faith go beyond the walls of the church? Sometimes we isolate ourselves in our own Christian bubble.
We try to escape from the world. But this is not what we are called to do. Each of us are called to live a life on mission for God with compassion and love. We are God’s plan to spread His good news and live out our faith publicly.
Everyone has their own unique gifts and talents that can be used to point people toward Jesus. In this sermon, we learn more about the importance of living a life on mission and our part in God's plan.
Speakers: Grace Pothen and Bryan McCabe
