08/27/20 • 48 min

Hello ModernJeepers welcome to Episode Number 79 of The ModernJeeper Show... the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.

This week Matson catches up with Corey and Jessy as they return from the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion. After 3 full days of an amazing show and event, we jump right into doing our first podcast AND video recording! So if you have been listening to our podcasts and have been wanting something more, stay tuned for this episode to be released with video! We jump into the technology of the upcoming plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe; the new RAM truck, the TRX; why the TRX doesn't have a "hellcat" motor; the upcoming Bronco and why shops may jump on straight axle conversions.

We have another great Tech Tip of the Week where we talk about valve stems, air down tools and what to think about when you buy your wheels.

On this day exactly one year ago, we lost an amazing and very special person to so very many of us. We hope that you take a few minutes to reflect and remember the racer, welder, wheeler and very loved friend, Ms. Jessi Combs.

As always, ModernJeeper is extremely grateful to our supporters including Warn Winches, Raceline Wheels, Bestop, Milestar Tires, Rugged Radios, KMS Adventure Racks, and, of course, Metalcloak.

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 49 of The ModernJeeper Show... the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.

This week is an experiment. A test. Like everything we do, we like to try new things. Last week, we had our 7th Annual Metalcloak Live “I Resolve to Jeep” New Years Giveaway featuring Metalcloak's Matson Breakey and ModernJeeper.com’s editor, Mr. Del Albright.

The video was seen live on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram TV.

Even though it wasn’t specifically recorded as a Podcast, we thought it would be fun to share it with you and see if you like the idea of a Live Show being re-produced for this platform.

During the show, we will be sharing a lot of Metalcloak and ModernJeeper news and information, surrounded by giveaways to the viewers and Metalcloak fans. While the giveaways are old news, it’s still exciting to hear it all over again.

We cover the Metalcloak Lock-N-LoadTM, what PWORA stands for, what it means to be a ModernJeeper, why we are the company of Optimism, the Kargo Master Safari acquisition, the art of Multitasking, why Metalcloak takes its time developing products and, of course, there are Lots and Lots of Giveaways!

Lots.

By the way, remember to check out the show notes below for helpful links to the places, people and things we mention in the show.

As always, ModernJeeper is extremely grateful to our supporters including Warn Winches, Raceline Wheels, Bestop, Milestar Tires, Rugged Radios and, of course, Metalcloak.

And welcome to our newest sponsor... Kargo Master Safari!

So, sit back, relax with a cold one, and enjoy Episode number 49 of The ModernJeeper Show...

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 28 of The ModernJeeper Show... the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.

This week Corey & Matson catch up on recent events and go over Corey’s upcoming six week East Coast CTI Tour. Then they are joined by Cory Moul, who was essentially born into Colorado’s 63 year old Mile-Hi Jeep Club, a club that not only has one of the best organizations we’ve ever seen, but also has one of the largest active paid memberships in the nation. Cory is a five time chairman of All-4-Fun one of the oldest off road events in the world having just finished their 53rd Annual in Buena Vista, Colorado.

Cory shares with us why it takes 200 volunteers to run All-4-Fun, what they’ve learned after 53 years, why change is hard but good, the brilliant idea to use challenge coins for organizing runs, how a local Jeep Dealership was responsible for the formation of the club, what are Patrols and why they were formed, with fires threatening in 2018 how they successfully changed the venue for All-4-Fun only 5 weeks from the event, how to stop political infighting between clubs and groups, how much they’ve raise for the Children’s Burn Camp, how he thinks the CTI trailer should be used to help raise money for causes across the nation, and why, out of five grandkids his late grandad would say he was the smartest.

And of course we have our Tech Tip of the Week... Understanding the domino effect of your upgrade and what you should think about before adding that other part right before a big trip.

You can find helpful links to many of the things we talk about in this episode in the links below and make sure to check out ModernJeeperAdventures.com for our growing list of upcoming adventures that you hear us talk about.

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode 226 of The ModernJeeper Show...

Corey & Jessy are deep in the weather someplace back east and Matson’s been busy here at the shop making sure all our awesome Metalcloak customers are getting what they need and needing what they get.
So yes, the last couple weeks have been hard to settle down and get that podcast done.
But, since next week is Jeepers Jamboree, the grandaddy of them all, I thought it was a perfect time to revisit Episode 75, our visit with the man who makes Jeepers Jamboree happen, Bob Sweeney.
The episode was originally recorded in July of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic and the lockdowns.
Bob digs into why, despite everything and lots of community support, they decided to cancel Jeepers Jamboree this year [the first time in 67 years], how their County was threatened by California's Governor Newsom, how they get 800 Jeeps through this epic trail, why the Rubicon Trail depends on Jeepers Jamboree for it’s own survival, having incredible volunteers, the Jeep Jamboree Kids program called Camp Rubicon, what the history is between Jeepers Jamboree and Jeep Jamboree USA, and Going Ultra4.
This is an audio only episode, but you can watch many of our other episodes by visiting YouTube.com/modernjeeper
As always, we are incredibly grateful for this episode to our supporters and friends including Warn Winches, Raceline Wheels, Bestop, Nacho Lighting, Milestar Tires, Rugged Radios, Adventure Rack Systems and, of course, Metalcloak.
