Welcome to episode 10 of the Mindset Practice podcast.
In this episode I chat with Segolene Scheuer a breath work and vocal embodiment coach and host of @TheArtfulAthlete podcast.
In many of the workshops or coaching sessions I've delivered, one of the most popular questions is "What's the 1 key thing I can do to help me spend more time in a Mindset of Growth?"
Segolene shares beautifully how a simple step of taking some breaths and really centring your self can help you manage those Survival moments more effectively and compassionately.
Sharing her own experiences of adversity in life. How her experiences in the French education system led to a lack of Self Belief and how her passion for language and creativity led her to understand how to be more balanced and present, Segolene presents some wonderful ways that we can all show up from Growth more often.
Segolene completed Mindset to Growth herself this year when she had faced some new challenges and her feedback was...
"I think it's one of the best, most didactic, most personalised and deeply touching mindset courses I've ever done. The language, the activities... It was a stress-free, fuelling and an eye opening experience."
This is a beautiful, inspiring and honest conversation, one we can all learn from.
I hope you enjoy it I know I did!

On this episode of our Mindset Practice podcast we meet our Director of Partnership Solutions Caspar de Carteret.
Caspar and his family moved to the UK during the pandemic from Australia and in this episode we hear how he felt during this time. We explore how his resilience was tested and how having a sense of purpose was key to being able to stay more in a mindset of growth during this period.
Since arriving in the UK Caspar and his family have committed to see as much of Europe as possible whilst here. This resulted in his recent trip to France to climb Mount Blanc with his brother Jon.
Caspar shares his inspiring story with passion and authenticity and also highlights the lessons he learnt about himself, his ability to perform under pressure, how communication is key when facing adversity and how our feelings, choices and actions can have an impact on how we build trust and lead or support others.
Caspar and I explored how our intention can support how we show up from a mindset of survival or growth.
We had a fantastic conversation about how these experiences can be translated into our lives, leadership, high performing teams and ultimately how our Self Belief is key to all we think say and do, whether at work or at home.
I hope you enjoyed this episode I know I did!

Realising my Impact- The programme that made me appear!

Have you ever felt that you were an imposter?

Have you ever felt or believed you were invisible to others or felt less significant?

What impact does shifting your mindset more towards Growth have on your potential, self -belief and performance?

How does being more present enable you to be a more effective and compassionate leader?

How does becoming aware of your Growth and Survival habits and patterns enable your move back towards Growth more quickly in challenging situations?

In this episode we chat to Nam Taan Mestre Woods a Deputy Programme Manager at Dstl.

Nam Taan attended our awarding winning Realising My Impact leadership programme last year and shares with me her experience during and since the programme and how her new belief in herself has enabled her to take risks and apply and attain new roles and promotions, support her family and her own wellbeing, and to explore her leadership style and how she works more effectively with others.

This is a wonderful vulnerable and authentic conversation that explores the challenges of being human, of feeling enough, of how our Self Belief can impact our lives positively or negatively and what we can do to really be our best selves and as Nam Taan’s manager said “to appear visible to others”

In this conversation Jackie is delighted to be chatting to four participants from our award winning Mindset to lead development programme at Thales UK.
Delivered as part of Thales UK talent programme Mindset to Lead provides an opportunity for participants to explore and identify their current mindset Growth and Survival habits through a range of experiential activities and the completion of an online mindset diagnostic and 360 degree feedback questionnaire.
These four ladies share openly the challenges they found themselves facing working in a STEM organisation and how Mindset To Lead enabled them to identify unhelpful Survival habits and to embed new Growth habits.
They speak of improved confidence, confidence to speak up and challenge, to help make complex things simpler, to see the big picture when project delivery is encouraging too much detail, to not accept ambiguity and encourage innovation, to thrive more on engagement with others and to be able now to slow down and take a step back before making leadership decisions .
Louise, Jess, ,Helen and Charlie have had successful promotions since the program and share how they are now also beginning to lead others through the Mindset Practice approach, using FAYG in team meetings and creating a common language of Growth and Survival to improve collaboration.
Jackie also shares with the guests which of the Mindset Practice principles she finds most useful when she is finding herself operating more from a mindset of Survival.
Mindset to Lead is our flagship development programme for leaders and high potential talent.
Leaders who show up consistently from Growth inspire others to excellence. They build teams with clear accountability and purpose. People feel safe, included and respond proactively to adversity.

Mindset to Lead is powered by integrated feedback from both the Growth Profile and Growth Climate 360.
