Leading Lady Podcast | Coaching and Accountability for Ambitious Women Entrepreneurs

What’s the secret to doing it all? Well, the secret is you can’t.

If you see someone who looks like they have it all together and they’re doing all the things, I promise you they have a support system behind them helping them get it all done.

I think it’s important for us to talk about this more so that we can break down the idea that you should be doing it all on your own. In this episode of the Leading Lady podcast, I’m sharing some examples of things I have outsourced throughout my life so that I can feel successful as a businesswoman and in my personal life.

Topics covered in this episode include:

  • Why support systems are so necessary
  • Identifying where your time is best spent
  • Examples of things you could outsource
  • Finding and using resources that are available to you

Join me for a discussion about the value of outsourcing and how to find help.

200: The Key to Overcoming Imposter Syndrome

Welcome to the 200th episode of the Leading Lady podcast!

I can’t believe I’m already celebrating four years of podcasting! Whether you’re a long-time listener or this is the first episode you’re clicking on, thank you for being here.

As I was reflecting on this milestone and what I wanted to talk about in this episode, I started thinking about how, even 200 episodes in, sometimes I don’t feel confident in myself; imposter syndrome still creeps in. I know that we all deal with imposter syndrome, it’s a vicious cycle that so many women in leadership and entrepreneurship find themselves in, so what better topic to unpack together in this episode?

I’m sharing what imposter syndrome looks like for me, why it’s so common amongst entrepreneurs, and the key to overcoming it every time it rises up.

Topics covered in this episode include:

  • Why you experience imposter syndrome
  • How to break out of the culture of comparison
  • The beauty in knowing that no one else in the world is you

If you often find yourself struggling with imposter syndrome, I hope this episode will help!

202: Don’t Settle For Less: How to Know Your Value and Advocate for Your Worth with Susan Shingledecker: Top Episode Fan Favorite

Women in the corporate world are often told that they have to put their work before everything else in order to be successful or in order to climb the corporate ladder, they can’t “be difficult”.

In today's episode of the Leading Lady podcast, I sat down with Susan Shingledecker to hear the incredible story of how she knew her worth and values and stood up for herself, even when it was uncomfortable.

Susan is Executive Director of Earth Science Information Partners, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the use of data to solve our planet’s greatest challenges. She leads a community of the world’s leading Earth Science data professionals from federal and state agencies, leading academic research institutions, and private sector technology firms.

It took Susan five years of progress, opportunity, living, and transformation to realize that everything happens for a reason. Having the courage to stand up and advocate for your worth can be scary but it can open doors you never expected.

Tune in to hear how Susan survived and thrived in the workplace despite her experience, and how you can too.
