Seisaku Nakamura was a Japanese serial killer who was known as the Hamamatsu Deaf Killer. He was born deaf in 1924 and was treated poorly by his family, leading to him becoming a social misfit. He enjoyed films where men used swords to kill people, which may have influenced his crimes. Nakamura killed multiple women and family members between 1938 and 1942. He was arrested and tried as an adult, and doctors claimed he was not guilty by reason of insanity. He was executed shortly after his trial.

Ernst August Wagner was a German teacher who went on a killing spree in 1913, killing 14 people. He had a troubled childhood, with his father dying when he was young and his mother being promiscuous. Wagner struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts, but managed to become a teacher. He had a history of erratic behavior, including an incident of bestiality. Wagner's paranoia and feelings of persecution led him to plan his revenge on the villagers who he believed knew about his actions. He carried out his killing spree on September 4th, 1913, before being apprehended and found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Kemper committed his first murders at the age of 15, killing his grandparents. After being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, he was sent to a maximum-security facility. Upon release, Kemper went on a killing spree, targeting young women. He would pick up hitchhikers, let them go initially, and then later give in to his homicidal urges. Kemper was eventually caught and convicted of eight murders. He is currently serving a life sentence.
