In the 1400s, France saw massive upheavals in socio-political conquests, and the right hand of Joan of Arc was Gilles de Rais, the man who kidnapped and sacrificed kids to try and summon demons according to the last 500 years of potential propaganda. Sounds like a fun guy.
Gilles de Reys, a knight and lord from Brittany, was convicted as a confessed serial killer of children in the 1400s. He was involved in the occult and attempted to summon a demon multiple times. He confessed to killing between 100 to 200 children and was executed in 1440. There have been questions of his guilt and conspiracy theories surrounding his case. The history of the case is written by those who gained from it, and it is difficult to determine the exact truth after 500 years. The podcast acknowledges the limitations of a 15-minute episode in exploring such a complex case.

Killing 15 Minutes - The Oregon Shoe Gremlin | Jerry Brudos
play

04/19/23 • 15 min

Jerry Brudos killed at least four women between 1968 to 1969, and was probably the most looney of the sick puppies we cover. So much so that the accidentally secondhand buzzed AJ may or may not have had a bit of a tweak out over the absurdism over this big fan of My Left Foot.
Jerry Brudos, a serial killer from Oregon, killed at least four women in 1968 and 1969. He had a shoe and foot fetish from a young age and would steal women's underwear. Brutas had a history of stalking and assaulting women, and he was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia. He married a young girl and engaged in disturbing behaviors, such as taking pictures of her doing housework naked except for heels. He killed four young women, kept their bodies in his garage, and engaged in necrophilia. Brutas was arrested, confessed to the murders, and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
