Pieces to Ponder (PtP.1) "“Why do most people do the right thing most of the time?”
11/15/21 • 5 min
Welcome Monday! Each week, I am going to release a new VERY SHORT episode that I am calling Pieces to Ponder. I want to inspire us to reflect on specific ideas week after week that will make us better parents and better humans. This week's episode is inspired by my work with the International Institute of Restorative Practices (IIRP) and the work of John Braithwaite who is an Australian criminologist who, instead of considering only why people commit crimes or do wrong, asked:
“Why do most people do the right thing most of the time?”
Tune in this week and each Monday for more inspiration. :) As always, thanks for listening and reach out if you have feedback or thoughts! [email protected]

S3:E5 The "secret sauce" when it feels overwhelming
Kids these days "want us to understand them, not just change them." WOWZA. Thank you to my amazing co-host this week, Erik Hur, as we explore the ins and outs of how COVID has impacted kids and families, ways to connect with even the hardest kids and the silver lining in all of this craziness. His statement in this episode says it all, "How are you going to give your best to your students (and kids) if you aren't taking care of yourself first?"
We know this is true, and yet somehow always struggle to maintain that mindset. Listen, like and share as we explore these things together!
As always, feel free to reach out with questions or how this has impacted you! [email protected]
Thanks for listening, friends!

Let us know what you think and how it has gone for you. :)
