Tune in to hear the experience of my guest, Braadyn Penrod, on how she ultimately decided to leave behind a faith and community she has known her entire life to have the freedom to choose what aligns more with her. Braadyn grew up as a member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout her life she had questioned the teachings but also never felt fully at peace while practicing the religion. Eventually, at 30 years old, she decided that it was time for her to leave the church once and for all. Braadyn takes us through her journey, how she finds faith now, and how she will be raising her children to decide for themselves. Since announcing her departure from the church on social media, Braadyn has become an advocate for others who may be going through something similar.
