Today's episode is one I am so happy to share with you all. I have followed him for years and this was one of the most value packed conversations I've had.
Our guest today is Greg Everett (@Catalyst Athletics), who is a world renowned olympic weightlifting coach, elite competitor in the tactical games, author, was a nationally ranked weightlifting competitor himself, and all around bad ass.
He just released his new book, Tough: Building True Mental, Physical, & Emotional Toughness For Success & Fulfillment
Toughness consists of 4 interdependent components:
1. Character
2.Capability
3.Capacity
4. Commitment
We dive into each of these and how they apply directly to your life and how to develop these traits.
We were able to discuss some of his past experiences and current habits along with the practices and tactics of people like Marcus Aurelius (Roman Emperor) & Viktor Fankl (A Man's Search for Meaning) so we can go through adversity and not be psychologically wrecked but come back EVEN better after it.
I would highly recommend grabbing his new book, it's a decision that you will not regret.

Today's episode isn't going to be for everyone. It's a little heavy.
Seeing as the title of this show calls for us to get uncomfortable I thought it was a good idea for me to do the same.
I decided to discuss something that happens to me each year at the same time that I've linked back to a traumatic event earlier in my life. Something I haven't talked about publicly for the last 15 years.
I also talk about therapy, why I think there shouldn't be a stigma around it, and why I eventually went.
The time of this recording happened right around when I experience this and it made sense to do an episode on it. I hope you find some value in it if you are, or have suffered trauma. Don't be afraid to talk to someone about it.
