S2 Ep3: Game Over Beer with Luke Kulchstein
06/12/23 • 49 min
Hello and welcome to Season 2, episode 3 of Game Over Beer with Luke Kulchstein
It’s a simple format on this podcast, our guests will choose 3 beers and 3 games and tell us why they mean so much to them.
I’d like to start by saying a huge thank you to our returning partner, Four Quarters, they are the UK’s original arcade bar and home to authentic retro arcade machines and consoles and you can find them in London, Bristol and Newcastle.
Also, a huge thank you to our new partner We Are Beer, they put on some of the best craft beer festivals across the UK in Bristol, Manchester and London and if you use code GameOverBeer, you’ll get £10 off.
Now, on to our guest, Luke Kulchstien.
Luke heads up the marketing team in Europe for Yakima Chief Hops, the world’s largest grower-owned hop producer. Luke has been in the drinks industry for 15 years with nearly a decade of that spent in craft beer.
The only things he is as passionate about as beer are music & computer games, his first real passion.
We spoke beers he always has stocked in his fridge, a series of games that turned a subculture into pop culture, and a game that had such a great twist, it made you feel bad to keep playing it.
A reminder to listeners that I'm using this podcast to help raise funds for mental health charities, so if you'd like to support the podcast and donate to a worth cause, please head to Ko-fi.com/gameoverbeer.
Last season we raised over £500 pounds, which went to the Disaster Emergency Committee to help the people of Ukraine.
Lastly, I promise, to anyone listening on Apple podcast or Spotify please leave a review and give us 5 stars!
So without further ado, join Luke and I as we, Game Over Beer!

We spoke about her love for anime and simulation games, a movement for good in beer that has been so important to her and then a controversial beer to finish which really should have a trigger warning.
