EP 21: Why and How To Never Give Up with Guest Diane Bedard
02/23/23 • 54 min
Diane is a publisher, award-winning professional writer and communicator, and connector of people. She has survived major trauma and self-induced calamity, and gratefully works to enjoy each day and each encounter with joy. She is an introverted extrovert who believes that the written word still has value to our culture and that God is in charge, so we can rest after we have done our footwork. She loves people and nature and is in awe of God’s creation. She has discovered, for her, it is easier to create a job than get a job.
During our episode with Diane, we talked about her journey as an employee that led her to a fateful day where she was attacked by an elephant, why she started NatureCoaster.com, the challenges she faced - physically, mentally, and socially, and how finding a mentor has been a huge benefit to her. Don’t miss her invitation to receive her award-winning writing straight to your email inbox - you can sign up for her free Ezine on her website.

EP 22: The Journey from Employee to Entrepreneur with Guest Terrie Hanscom
Terrie is the owner and practitioner of Positive Vybes and hails from Beverly, Massachusetts. Terrie graduated from the nursing program at North Shore Community College in 1988 and has truly found it to be a joy working and `raising’ some of the most talented surgeons in the country, including Dr. Atul Gawande, over the last 30 years. During that time, she also observed patients coming into the Operating Room full of anxiety, fearful, and a little to a lot stressed. Then, about 15 years ago she took a workshop on preoperative meditations and liked the premise so much, she started implementing it at her institution and ran the program until she retired in August 2022.
Over the years she’s taken classes, done the research, and finally developed her own program: The +VYBES (Visualize Your Best Elective Surgery) program. This program incorporates clinical meditation and imagery along with energetic body work, assisting patients in balancing their body physically as well as emotionally.
Among many other certifications, she is certified as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher.
During our episode with Terrie we talked about the challenges she faced going from corporate to entrepreneur, the money mindset hurdle for what to charge, and the importance of learning the basic foundational business strategies. Terrie is offering our Listener’s 10% off their first session of Meditation For Surgery. She is also offering a Free Meditation Class On March 7th, as well as a Free Meditation Video Download.
