Fempreneur True Confessions Podcast

Autum Proctor was born in Lawrence Massachusetts, but spent her formative years in Spring Hill, Florida. A second-generation artist, the daughter of a tattooer; she has been a painting instructor for college students and amateur artists from childhood to twilight years, for the better part of a decade. She is the owner and sole proprietor of Traveling Art Parties, a company serving the greater Tampa area; as well as a Bob Ross Certified Instructor. She primarily works in oils but does try to keep a diverse toolset. She's worked and taught in acrylic, charcoal, graphite, and even done tattooing. She is passionate about bringing joy to the mundane and expresses that through her teaching. There is no challenge she won’t tackle and she is constantly working to be able to interpret a client’s desire through her own prism and produce a work they enjoy and also challenges her.
During our chat with Autum, we talked about:
- The hurdles she had to get through as she started her partnership, then later transitioned to sole owner.
- Why she decided to join the local arts council and give back to her community.
- The hardest part of hiring help for the business.
- How her sobriety has impacted her life and business.

EP 11: Life Is Either A Daring Adventure Or Nothing At All with Guest Jean Walters
Fempreneur True Confessions Podcast
12/14/22 • 39 min
The title of this week’s episode is a Helen Keller quote that Jean shared during our chat today. Jean has been teaching self-empowerment principles for 40 years. She has studied metaphysics extensively and applies universal principles to every area of her life. Her articles have appeared in major newspapers and publications and her syndicated radio show, Positive Moments was broadcast in 110 markets nationally. Jean’s passion is helping people recognize their innate power and place in the Universe, and to live fully from that knowing. Her specialties are transformational coaching, metaphysics, dream interpretation, Akashic record reading (over 35,000 given), and public speaking. Jean helped us rename our struggles challenges and begin to understand the power of our words and our mindset as it relates to manifesting abundance - both in our lives and our entrepreneurial endeavors. A few of the nuggets Jean shared were to be aware of fear, use the now to look at our challenges differently, and to ask ourselves what is this challenge trying to teach us rather than getting stuck in the moment or the negative. Jean answered these questions for us on today’s episode:
- What is an abundance mindset?
- What are some practical methods that help you live abundantly?
- What does living without struggle mean?
- What do you mean by your ability to manifest the life you want is based on your choices and how you view them?
- What does it mean to live passionately? To do work you feel passionate about?
