I'm your host, Veronica Hugger, who at the age of 53 was ready to give up. I was living an unsustainable lifestyle of deprivation diets and endless exercise and not seeing the results I wanted or deserved. The strategy of "eat less" move more" was not working! By learning the FASTer Way of nutrition and fitness, I now live a 'healthstyle' which encourages me to eat right and motivates me to exercise efficiently. I eat more food now than ever! My FASTer Way coach continues to work with me so I have access to a personal trainer who manages my progress, answers my questions, and inspires me.
I was persuaded to try the FASTer Way after listening to stories from others who continue to succeed on the program. Over 440,000 people have gone through the FASTer Way starter program, so there are lots of success stories! On this podcast, you’ll hear conversational interviews with people with various relatable stories of struggle and success. And FASTer Way to Fat Loss Head Trainer, Le Bergin, helps explain the strategies of the program and offer helpful tips.
Just like someone else’s success story inspired me, sharing more success stories has the potential to encourage others to embrace and experience a healthier lifestyle...a “healthstyle”. And their shared stories will educate you, inspire you, and encourage you to accomplish your goals and to write your own Fat Loss Success Story!

On the FASTer Way we focus on clean eating...avoiding foods that are processed and packaged. We reduce inflammatory foods like dairy and gluten, and foods that don't make us feel good. Instead, we focus on foods that promote your best health...
When you’re eating whole foods, you’re eating real food. The bulk of your nutrition should consist of foods found in their most natural state. Think about fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, nuts and whole grains.
Whole foods have few ingredients. They are easy to pronounce, and they have not been modified or processed. They have no added sugars or chemicals.
To help you when shopping in the grocery store, stick to the items on the outside perimeter of the store, like the produce section.
Avoid the center sections of the grocery store, like the cereal and soda aisles.
Be wary of food that comes in a box or a bag. It likely is processed and filled with hard-to-pronounce chemicals and additives like refined sugar.
Whole foods provide more fiber and the important micronutrients, like vitamins and minerals, that are good for our bodies.

This episode is special because I'm sharing an interview I gave on Hot Flashes Cool Topics, a podcast hosted by two fun and brave friends from Tennessee.
Colleen and Bridget are changing the narrative about menopause and creating positive messages for women so we can enjoy this time of life and the freedom gained, not lost, from entering midlife.
The "midlife middle" is one menopausal symptom gained we can all do without. Why can’t we control our bodies during menopause? We can if we are educated and proactive.
Through the FASTer Way to Fat Loss 6-week program, I learned about proper nutrition and efficient exercise that helped me lose that midlife middle and gain strength and energy.
The FASTer Way teaches you to listen to your body and respond proactively. It’s about learning what's best for your body and being able to make the right choices when it comes to food and exercise and rest. It puts you back in control of your body, and that’s powerful.
Recently I was honored to be a guest on the podcast Hot Flashes Cool Topics to talk about the importance of nutrition and exercise during menopause. And this episode is a rebroadcast of that interview.

Take a FREE Fat Loss Quiz!Jen Armstrong is 44 and served our country in the Navy and now is a successful professional as a wastewater engineer in S. Charleston, West Virginia. She and her husband, also an engineer, have two beautiful and active daughters, age 9 and 13 who keep Jen very busy.
I found Jen on Twitter, where every day she posts a handwritten list of that day’s workout She’s checked off each exercise and happily stamped the word "Done" across the photo!
Once an avid runner, Jen endured back injuries and three back surgeries which put her on the weight gain loop. She’s tried many weight loss programs, including the big name plans, but when it came to choosing what works, what makes her healthy and happy, the decision was easy once she found it. So much so that she threw away her bathroom scale. Jen tells us why the FASTer Way is her choice, not just for fat loss, but also for true health.
